Cardiolipin remodeling maintains the inner mitochondrial membrane in cells with saturated lipidomes - Journal of Lipid Research jlr.org/article/S0022-…
Incredibly honoured to have my first paper as PI highlighted in this collection! The idea was do a quick tool paper as start into independence and it turned out to be much more useful than I thought. Read about how to use recombinant biosensors to stain for lipids in fixed cells!
Our annual collection highlights twelve of the most outstanding papers that showcase the exceptional range and quality of research published by JCB. We are delighted to serve as an independent venue for the awe-inspiring world of cell biology! hubs.la/Q02_fVs30 #CellBio2024
If you’re interested in immune cell metabolism I’m recruiting a PhD student. Deadline: 17th Jan. findaphd.com/phds/project/e…
Delighted to share our paper on adipose gd T cells making IL-17 every night for homeostasis, coordinating lipid metabolism after eating @Nature Huge effort by @Akaron0884 & @BrennethS and the team and collaborators to work this out. Aaron's Tweetorial 👇 nature.com/articles/s4158…
How do cells response to withdrawal of amino acids? It depends on the amino acid. ◼️Lysine withdrawal causes immediate cell-cycle stalling while the withdrawal of other amino acids allow for completion of additional cell cycles.
Finally out 🥳🎉 embopress.org/doi/epdf/10.10…
Fantastic 1st day of #SMN2024 @ScotMetNet here at University of Stirling. Amazing and great talks from carotenoids, pig saliva, clinical, and then nutritional metabolomics! ✨✨

Muscles work hard for a while, they start to burn fat. Same as T cells!, but why? Check this out! Our new study led by Alessio Bevilacqua is published in @SciImmunology ! Thanks for the support provided by @Ludwig_Cancer @CancerResearch @MelanomaReAlli science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
We're recruiting! Please spread the word. We're excited for someone to join our team with an interest in biochemistry and/or cell biology. The project will focus on cellular redox reactions that locally activate switches in protein complexes to drive signalling.
VACANCY: Postdoctoral Research Scientist If you have expertise in cell communication and redox signalling this is the job for you! Join the Sharpe lab as they investigate intercellular communication across different systems. Deadline: 30th August Details: ow.ly/nHNE50SSeYt
