The placing of HMP Pentonville in special measures is very concerning, but its failings do not come as a surprise. I will be writing to the Lord Chancellor and Pentonville's governor to discuss these findings in more detail.

We’re working hard to make Finsbury Park cleaner and safer this summer. Regular patrols by the council’s Neighbourhood Patrol teams, Parkguard, and police recently helped cut anti-social behaviour in the area by 50%.
This summer, town centres and high streets will see more police, as part of our collaborative work to tackle shoplifting, theft and anti-social behaviour. We’re working with the Met, local partners and community groups to build safer town centres and a safer London for everyone.
