And not much of a stretch that it would soon be someone else to say you qualify and receive MAID against your will.
Nazi. Behaviour. Straight up. Aktion T4 2.0 is *active* and you are just feeding into it with your complicity with this eugenics. It's sterilization. It's targeted starvation. It's withholding treatment/care. It's forced isolation. It's state-sanctioned euthanasia.
Even if whatever you have is not called what you like, you get funding for a disability, not a “wiring difference”. Even being “gifted” is a disability that often needs accommodations.
"Wiring difference" .... Just. Say. Disability.
Newsflash. When we talk accessibility for PWD/disabled people be reminded that should include access to fund housing, food, equipment, psychosocial, therapy, paid caregiving, etc, etc. Things that the Accessible Canada Act and the Canada Disability Benefit do not include. #NDIP
So sorry the system has beaten you down to this point. Know you are very well respected and liked by many here. Hugs 🤗
So defeated. Long story short, it's my word vs clinics regarding my infusion despite being told by medical professionals it was a human error with the IV. Meanwhile I'm so debilitated that I have to cancel appointments & plans. My QoL is decreasing further and I'm wondering –
But we still need to take this a step further. Disabled people and their families are not nearly receiving the support they need. Many are, and will choose suicide and MAID as a result. We need a National Disability Insurance Plan. everycanadiancounts.com @WabKinew you can help.
Universal healthcare is who we are as Canadians. It’s one of the things that sets us a part from the U.S. and we should be proud of that. Let’s keep it strong and make sure it serves everyone, in every region. It’s our heritage, our legacy and something we should all be proud of.
Instead of continually searching, perhaps we should be happy with what we find.

An estimated 9,000 people were murdered at the Bernburg euthanasia site from 1940-41. @anne_lepper gives a fascinating talk at @CdnSocYadVashem program on how perpetrators saw themselves. This photo shows Nazi perpetrator Johann Niemann in Bernberg in 1941.
#HousingFirst is a proven approach to end homelessness, and I fully support it as someone who has been homeless 7 times. There are easier, cheaper ways than vilifying the vulnerable with criminal charges and possible prison terms when facing such a trauma as it is. #Ontario alone…
Canada needs to be like Finland when it comes to addressing homelessness. "Finland has nearly ended homelessness nationwide with its HOUSING FIRST strategy which gives people a small apartment and mental health support without any preconditions. Thanks to this approach about…
PLEASE read Mitchell's embedded post! THIS is what Canadian governments are doing to Canada's largest minority group, #PWD, and it is UNACCEPTABLE! They comprise 27% of the country's population and are 50%+ of the unhoused population. It costs BILLIONS more to keep people in ...
Does anyone else see the social murder in this post? This ignorance of socio-economic struggles, the rise of homelessness, 288% increase in overdoses, people using day passes from hospitals to get murdered while not in the right mind. And calling it fear mongering, insults the…
Sickening.
I can’t and won’t stay quiet on this: AISH recipients in Alberta are being pressured over a $200 federal benefit—with unclear deadlines, upfront medical fees, and mounting stress. #DisabilityJustice #AISH cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…
I can't stop thinking about Bridget. I can't believe the world doesn't care about us suffering, us dying. She and everybody else should've received help and lived a long and healthier life. I can't believe an illness this severe just goes unnoticed by the whole world.
Re coerced organ "donation", MAID Track 2
Directly from the official recommendations for Track 2 regarding organ donation, which has been implemented since: If you have a conversation with your doctor about MAID Track 2, you get followed-up by organ donation organizations asking for your organs. cmaj.ca/content/195/25…
This is proof of what I was saying, #X is manipulated to hide our disability, MAiD, poverty, homelessness, addiction and other social injustices as corporations run the news and politicians commit social murder. Is there any #lawyer in #Canada about to undertake this? I have…
Do not pay for this garbage service, they shadowban posts, they control what is relevant, and they are not bipartisan. My posts on poverty, homelessness and medical assistance in dying have been throttled even tho I was paying a day and half of my grocery food towards this to try…
This is what I mean when disabled ppl turn to MAiD when they fear for their life. Eviction means certain death, especially if you're disabled. It means loss of bodily autonomy. Poverty, homelessness, starvation, lack of medical care is a great fear tactic to coerce ppl.
I have. I've met people with down syndrome, cancer, MS, alzheimers, paraplegics - all living on the streets. They die. Very soon after they stop being able to access medical care, people with disabilities on the streets just die.
"It assumes ‘suffering’ is intrinsic to disability rather than the fact that inequality and discrimination cause and compound ‘suffering’ for persons with disabilities.” A powerful article on why Track 2 MAiD should be repealed, a recommendation backed by an expert UN…
And all additional costs of having a disability: home and vehicle modifications, paid caregiving, physio, OT PT, psychosocial, training, medication, etc. A national disability insurance model of support would do this. #NDIP
People should not be forced to live below the poverty line. Everyone should have a universal basic income, healthcare, food, clean air and water, education and affordable housing. These ideas shouldn’t be considered radical. We should take care of one another.
IDA and @PDFSEC with funding from the @DisabRightsFund, are co-hosting the Bridge CRPD-SDGs Pacific Regional Module II in Nadi, Fiji. Bringing together representatives from across the region, this crucial Bridge training aims to cultivate a strong group of CRPD trainers. Their…
“Over a million Canadians with disabilities ACTUALLY work”. Duh. Doesn’t sound ableist at all. WE DEMAND A NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE PLAN!!!!!!!!!
Let’s offer a bright future for Canadians of all abilities.
There is no reason NOT to be concerned about aggressive push for organ donation in Canada, particularly also in relation to organ donation post #euthanasia #MAID
New York Times reporters Brian M. Rosenthal and Julie Tate have just published this new article: “ A Push for More Organ Transplants is Putting Donors at Risk.” They document the MANY cases where organ procurement pushed to harvest the organs of people who were still alive. For…
