Here's the thing: Obama was divisive too, and did plenty of things I disagree with, and I strongly doubt you would have asked this question, posted this comment, or written this article about Harbs visiting the Obama White House (which he did, BTW). It's far past time we treat…
Look, I'm not intimately attuned to the journalistic rules here, but I'll leave it at this. If the publication wants to be perceived to be in a different box than Outkick, Barstool, etc as "journalistic," that column "as is" appears in the editorials, not in the sports section.
Here's my assessment of Elias as GM: We've done well with drafting (though last year was bad), minor league development, and establishing an international presence. We've done decently on trades with some hits and some misses -- expected. We've done an atrocious job in free…
With this, the Orioles absolutely killed it with the draft Drafted and signed 4 mid 1st round talents (+ a lot more) A lot of pitchers with high upsides for the folks who want to draft by need too. Club deserves grief for what they do wrong, but also praise for the good.
Supplemental 1st-rder Slater de Brun signs w/@Orioles for $4 million (slot 37 value = $2,631,400). Best prep OF in @MLBDraft, advanced hitter, well above-average speed plays well on bases and in center field. Vanderbilt recruit.
No, I'm not. Read it again. Ask yourself if it has more to do with Baltimore sports or politics/public policy. If you're honest with yourself, its the latter, and that, together with the tone, means it belongs squarely in the editorials, not on the sports page.
The Orioles signed 37th pick Slater de Brun with a $4 million signing bonus, per source. Slot was $2.63 million.
Doesn't have anything to do with whether the reader agrees or disagrees ... significant portions of the editorializing in the column were gratuitously ungermane to the sports-related stuff. He just couldn't help himself and his editors didn't care.
No I'm not being obtuse. You, however, are making assumptions. 1) I retweet lots of things for lots of reasons. 2) Neither Outkick, nor Barstool, etc holds itself out as being a journalistic enterprise that im aware of. I dont consider any of them as that. The Banner, OTOH, does
The wrestlers from the 1980s and 90s had a life expectancy of like 45 years old. Insane. I watched an old Royal Rumble from 1997 and just one after another each guy is dead now.
Most of his contemporaries died in their 30s and 40s from pills.
Sad to think 71 is like ancient for his cohort
RIP Hulk Hogan. Honestly wild that he outlasted most of his contemporaries. tmz.com/2025/07/24/hul…

The ravens subreddit is hilarious. Unfortunately for these guys, the guys in the FO, in the ownership meetings, in the coach’s offices, much of the locker room and most PSL holders are in general agreement here.
I want to tar and feather Mike Elias

The divide between the views of sports journalists and athletes/coaches is only growing. Makes it difficult for them to cover people they no longer understand, relate to, or even like. Easier to pick on Harbaugh than ask players their thoughts on biological males in girls sport
John Harbaugh had an “amazing” experience at the White House. But if he had taken some time to think about what it meant to have a photo op with a president that bullies his home state, he would see why folks are disappointed in that decision: thebaltimorebanner.com/sports/ravens-…
I don't know Kyle personally nor do I have a problem with him. We've read/shared his stuff before on the show. That said, I find this frustrating. A reporter with a divisive political agenda is granted direct access to the head coach in a press conference setting. I can count…
