Would also add that our cultural barbell gets more and more severe (not necessarily in a bad way) each year. The Big Things that are Growing get implausibly big. The middle class is all but cut out, and the boutique/niche/small whatever you wanna call it get far more obsessive.
The only thing I'd add: it's indicative of the fairly terminal state of linear TV more broadly and broadcast TV specifically. And the specific mode of TV watching for late night—often in bed, killing time before sleep overtakes you—has been replaced entirely by phone time.
