15 times I've been left on a train. Featuring @northernassist, @LNER, @CrossCountryUK, @tfwrail , @TfL, @TPEassist, @GTRailUK and GNER. Also starring @Tanni_GT and @Keir_Starmer. It shouldn't happen - but it does, all the time. youtu.be/5XBsr5FGVug?si…
The @RailDeliveryGrp is completely unregulated and yet in charge of most cross-sector services and vital tech for rail accessibility. Last week, we reported them to the @EHRC for developing accessibility services outside equality duties and without consultation.
Hey @RailDeliveryGrp If you're considering writing a framework for assistance failure redress compensation, be aware: any framework not complying with Vento guidelines will face immediate legal challenge. You're an industry body, not a statutory authority - you don't write law.

What patronising new "innovation" is this now @TransreportUK? "Your journey is coming up"-emails for every single booked assist? That's four emails with NO benefit to the customer since last night alone. Maybe bombard the destination with these emails, not me. I don't need…
"Like Harry Potter, but crippled" 😆🤣
You can just teleport over the tracks obviously, like Harry Potter but crippled ^KP
Please @nationalrailenq The lifts at Glasgow Central are showing in your website as being broken, but @ScotRail say they're working. Can you contact the station or @NetworkRailSCOT and find out for definite? Thank you
I would totally agree.
Staff enforcing bad passenger etiquette doesn't help disabled passengers travelling by train. Why should we deal with the haste of awaiting someone to claim their baggage. It's not acceptable. I'm sure @Doug_Paulley would agree.
🚨 We’re shocked and disappointed. The UK government has pushed through HUGE cuts to Universal Credit for disabled people applying in the future. These cuts will be devastating. They risk pushing even more disabled people to food banks.
🫣🍿😬😳

Next time I'm stuck on a train please can I be stuck with these? @PetybPeter
After 6h on a broken-down Eurostar we cracked out the guitars to remind everybody #theOnlyWayIsUp
We expect Network Rail to improve the reliability of its lifts. The company recognises the need to improve, and has shared an improvement plan with us. We are continuing to monitor its progress closely.
Latest stats show lift reliability at mainline stations in Great Britain deteriorated in the latest year (Apr 2024 to Mar 2025). The total number of faults increased 9%. Faults that put a lift out of service for a week or more increased by 41%. 📉➡ dataportal.orr.gov.uk/statistics/pas…
Creating a two-tier Pip and UC system where new claimants get less than existing ones is a political concession, but not a moral one And if it was a multinational company doing this on pay, Labour MPs would be up in arms Not good enough

Just to be clear PIP is not an out of work benefit. It is fundamental to understand the absolute basics when we reform the welfare system

@CrossCountryUK @EastMidRailway not a good day to travel as a wheelchair user😢sharing wheelchair space with two prams and pushchairs, trains cancelled on return and ended up on filthy dirty train. Yes it’s a dirty nappy. Then Derby Station lift out of order😥@Doug_Paulley
(1/2) I’m not opposed to the principle of assisted dying. But until the vast majority of disabled people support the legislation, I cannot support it. Let’s fix our NHS, social care and wider society first, and then consider this topic again when the time is right.
(1/2) With a heavy heart, I have written to the Prime Minister to tender my resignation as a whip. Whilst I will continue to support the government in delivering the change the country so desperately needs, I cannot vote in favour of the proposed reforms to disability benefits.
Met a 7 year old wheelchair using boy on the train home. He was amazing (and loved my Triride). I meet so many disabled children on their way from hospital on this train and it’s so refreshing sometimes. There’s a confident generation of disabled people growing up. If we don’t…
Again.
Arrived at kings cross @LNER service with booked assistance and nobody is here. I've pressed the alarm no one has come and the train is now empty
