You all have hopefully been reading and enjoying the wonderful work of @clairejowitt on the Gloucester. However, it is not only the victim of storms of Great Yarmouth. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 was originally 'the Shippe called the Queenes ship' blown in Yarmouth late 1642.

Most of the things criticise the Middle Ages for are really Early Modern things. Witch-hunting, plague, endless wars, attacks on knowledge, brutal conflicts between Muslims and Christians etc.

The Baltic countries are the most underrated in Europe when it comes to how interesting the history of this region is. Tons of wars were fought there from the medieval crusades to modern wars, if you are of European heritage your ancestors probably fought there at some point.
