I’d love to not have to apply annually to each individual hospital for privileges, submitting all the same documents. Regional credentialing and reciprocal credentialing are needed to reduce the admin burden, and could go a long way to helping rural sites.
It makes no sense busy MDs renew every professional and regulatory registration annually. Powers appreciating this would make this every 3 years. People pontificate on burnout - here's something real to change. MDs don't have boundless time. @OntariosDoctors @cpso_ca @CMPAmembers…
150 minutes per week of moderate physical activity can reduce all-cause mortality by 31% compared with no physical activity. This is why doctors should be able to prescribe exercise (gym or time outdoors) — and for employers/governments, the benefits far outweigh most…

The paradox of health care spending: a $400 air conditioner can help prevent a $15,000 hospital admission for heart failure or heat stroke in the summer.
Can we just skip to the part where we take care of each other and the earth?
Resurgent diseases. Recycled wars. Then act surprised when it all comes crashing down. When do we get to the part where we prevent catastrophe rather than simply react to it?
Happy National Indigenous Peoples Day! It’s a day to lift up our languages, honour our ancestors, and celebrate the strength of our communities.

My colleagues @antle83 & Dr. Jeanette Verleun speaking to CBC about what’s happening on PEI. We are not exaggerating when we say doctors are planning to leave or not join FM or PEI. I have heard this from docs myself. Let me explain a bit of the issue… cbc.ca/news/canada/pr…

Hi, ER Doc here. Everyone needs to know that taking too much Tylenol can cause liver failure and DEATH. I have seen too many people unintentionally overdose. Do NOT take more than 4 grams in one day. That’s only 8 extra strength pills! Please tell all your friends about this.
I began providing palliative care in long-term care in 2016 — an experience that’s shaped my work ever since. Honoured to receive the 2025 Dr. S. Lawrence Librach Award, recognizing physician leadership in palliative care. Grateful to all who’ve shared this journey. 🙏🏽

Wildfires across Canada are causing smoke to spread across North America, as far as Florida. A reminder that particulates in wildfire smoke can cause short- and long-term health issues. An excellent way to protect yourself is to wear a well-fitting mask like an N95.
