No fan of Tories, regardless of the colour of their tie. Only here because very time I try to leave, politics drags me back in.
I hereby propose we change #agedlikemilk to #AgedLikeAStarmerStatement
They really don't care. Last week, at Prime Minister's Questions, I raised the situation of Rosie who is a care worker being hit by a double whammy of a National Insurance Tax rise and a Universal Credit cut. The Tories laughed. Heartless. news.sky.com/story/universa…
Holy fuck, unless this is her comms team rebelling, that's a new and unexpectedly dreadful low even for these barrel scraping self serving Tory tribute act sociopaths. Dying. To. Work. Literally the tag put out by Rayner's Twitter. Think about that for a moment. #dyingtowork
No one battling terminal illness should have to face extra stress and worry over their job security. It's vital that employees with a terminal diagnosis are treated sensitively and with the best support – that’s why I’m so proud we are backing this charter. #DyingToWork
I try not to imagine Starmer's "growth lever", seeing as it appears to be directly connected to the bollocks he comes out with.
"Very often, political leaders, particularly in my party, go straight to the spend or tax lever. I go first to the growth lever." (May 2023) Sounds great... but has he actually governed like that?
So Starmer's Labour wants to work people to death, whilst wondering why young people don't have jobs.
The work and pensions secretary has announced a review of the state pension age, explaining that almost half of the working age population isn't saving anything for their retirement Full story ➡️ trib.al/OMEm1Or
If 96% of your policies are things like "Make sure the benches look nice and clean in towns" and "Give utility companies a feeble ticking off for fucking up", whilst the other 4% includes "Encourage people to spit on disabled people in the street", then yeah, agonising's needed.
Keir Starmer told the Cabinet: “The Tories get 96% of things wrong and focus on the 4% of things they get right, whereas Labour gets 96% of things right but agonise over the 4% we get wrong.” huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/keir-sta…
Well that makes the gift grabbing, pensioner freezing, disabled persecuting, crusade of cruelty and self interest perfectly OK then.
Here's the best thing in Labour's first years: today's new figures show the number of children accessing funded early education and childcare rose by 33% in a year to 1.7m,
Yay 16 year olds being allowed to vote and everything, but it's not exactly earth shatteringly changeful compared to, say, replacing FPTP with PR as Starmer's own party voted for not so long ago.
So will Starmer's iron fist of fuckwitted arrogance be enough to save his job, or will every @UKLabour MP tonight be wondering how to remove him before he ruins their careers as impetuously as he and his front bench are ruining party and more importantly country?
Of course, if Starmer's Tory tribute act wasn't so utterly visionless, authoritarian, right lurching, cruel, and all round disappointing, perhaps a new party wouldn't gain enough traction to have any influence over future results.

So it's not even 10am and I've been called fake and blocked by someone who has a one size fits all answer whilst somehow saying everyone's unique. Fuck, some people are determined to make life vastly more than necessarily difficult sometimes.
Telling someone - or even yourself - "Others have it way worse" isn't positive thinking. It's invalidating of your own experiences and perceptions. It needs to stop. If you feel threatened, abused, saddened, by your own life, you've every right to those emotions.
He's turned off replies, presumably because of the number of people noticing he's a tone deaf ellbend.
Reasons to be cheerful.
I couldn't give less of a fuck what the Tories would do, what Reform would try. I give a fuck what the current, actual, government is doing, and whether or not they should be doing it. "But Tories", "But Reform", is not carte blanche for Starmer's government.
Ah, Keir Starmer's Labour Government. So caring, so compassionate, so full of change, that they're wanting you to be #WorkedToDeath
