Whatever your goals are for later in life, make your money work harder by saving into a pension today #PensionsCommission
Lovely to see Swansea full of very smart (and even prouder) families. @SwanseaUni leavers: llongyfarchiadau. No one can take away what your hard work has achieved. And whether you stay in Swansea or not, I hope you tell the world of the beauty and talent in our city by the sea.
Great chart action here.

The creation of the Pension Commission is welcome. The first few paragraphs on the risks coming down the track if we don't act sound more like think-tank Torsten than Minister Torsten (which is a good thing). The scope is vague but broad & - potentially - ambitious.
We cannot allow tomorrow’s retirees to be poorer than today’s - which is what we are on track for. So we are reviving the Pensions Commission to set Britain on a different course gov.uk/government/new…
“No crime is too small to be prosecuted”…except for rioting last summer - where Reform downplayed violence repeatedly
Today has rather proved populists have “no idea” how to fix things, falling apart the first time they’re asked a basic question. Proper politics is about long term answers to difficult challenges - like how to make sure today’s workers can look forward to a comfortable retirement
The last Labour govt laid the ground to get British workers pension saving again. But if we continue as we are tomorrow’s retirees will be poorer than today’s. So it’s time to finish the job - we’ll build a pensions system that’s strong, sustainable & fair ft.com/content/5208c0…
So… Farage not only has no idea what cash would be required to deliver his own nationalisation policy, he has no idea what it even is talking about “getting private money” in. Almost like he just says whatever he thinks people want to hear at any given second.
"So you don't know how much it would be in any ballpark?" #BBCLauraK asks Reform UK leader Nigel Farage about his proposals to nationalise 50% of the water industry "Of course not" replies Farage but says "it doesn't need to be a big sum of money" bbc.in/44WXpgI
A rammed Saturday. Thanks to everyone that came to a great coffee morning discussion at @PheonixCentre, and congrats to the Girls Friendly Society - celebrating their 150th Anniversary at Mayhill Community Centre. Two centres at the heart of their neighnourhoods

A railway test track with a view - that’s the vision for the Global Centre of Rail Excellence up the Swansea valley. Good to visit for an update. And a bonus to hear about the training they are now hosting, funded by the Port Talbot Transition Board gcre.wales

Llongyfarchiadau to Josh Tuck, your new Welsh Labour Councillor in Baglan, Neath Port Talbot 🌹
