You don’t lose strength by lifting on game day. You lose it by skipping every game-day session for 12 weeks straight. In-season lifting done right = performance edge, not performance drop.
Awesome meeting with @les7spellman today, helping me fine tune my summer speed plans! Super down to earth dude who wants to help others get better!
My biggest takeaway from this summer’s training sessions was Velocity over Volume! This matters for: 🏎️ Speed 💣 Power 💪 Lifting Pretty much every aspect of our work prioritized moving fast with intent over just doing more. High intensity. High intent. Game-ready.
Hawks win!!!!! What a fantastic game!!!! 5-4 walk off!!!!! Go Hawks!!!
Hawks advance to the regional final Tuesday night with a 7-3 win over Crestwood tonight! @WestDelawareAD @jtlinder
Interesting facts, 52% of high schools in the US do not have a designated strength Coach. The 48% that do, only 68% of those coaches are certified in strength and conditioning
Average Highschool 40-Yard Dash Times ⏱️ Where do you athletes compare? #GamifyYourTraining
Needle was moved today! Every day is progress day but testing weeks are always fun for the kids! Higher energy, higher morale!

Proud to share our program earned the NHSSCA “Program of Excellence” Award — a national honor recognizing top programs in athlete development. This one’s for our kids. Their hard work + buy-in made it happen!
Speed kills!!! 🏃♂️ 💨
Track had a night last night 😮💨 Girls qualified- 4x2,4x4, 4x8, D Med, shuttle hurdle, 100H, 400H, LJ, HJ maybe 800! Boys qualified- 110 hurdles x2, 400 hurdles, shuttle hurdle, maybe 100. Girls were also district champs!
Coach Pedersen spitting facts! Do the work on the front in to be backed by science and have a structured approach!
Two types of bad summer programs: ▪️Grind-til-you-drop ▪️Show-up-if-you-want One burns athletes out. The other builds nothing. The answer? Structured consistency with built-in flexibility.
High school coaches — are you periodizing your speed, agility, and plyometric work throughout the year? If so, what’s worked best for you? Would love to hear how you structure it! Here is our basic structure.

Shout out to @OwenPettlon and @brenty18199087 for making this list!

Being coachable is one of the best qualities a player can have!
Being coachable is a competitive edge. - Take feedback without flinching. - Apply it without excuse. - Grow from it without needing praise. The best don’t avoid coaching; they crave it. Feedback isn’t an attack. It’s a gift. Use it.
