FEATURE | “I wish people knew the ‘why.'" Why does @TaylorAntrell — NU wrestling's first homegrown champion since 2000 — fight so hard? His father + brother never gave up on him. Now, after their deaths, he refuses to give up on them. journalstar.com/sports/huskers…

Major congratulations to @ArdenLouchheim!!! A great golfer and an even better student with @Unl_CoJMC.
With childhood friend and @byuwgolf standout Berlin Long on the bag, @HuskerWGolf junior Arden Louchheim, a former Utah junior golf standout from Park City, just won the 119th Utah women's state amateur. "That's pretty cool, huh?" -Arden to her dad, @DLocke09 🏌️♀️
In perhaps the final chapter of this summer Scott Frost-Nebraska storyline, Michigan linebacker Ernest Hausmann was asked about Frost’s 2022 firing — three games into Hausmann’s freshman season with the Huskers. “It hurts my heart,” said Hausmann, from Columbus, Neb., “because…
NEW: President Trump just released a statement saying he's signed an executive order to "Save College Sports." @FOS reported last week that he was actively working on this executive order. whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/20…
DeShaun Foster: "That moment speaking to you last year taught me a valuable lesson: Authenticity resonates more deeply than perfection. Our players saw me being human, and it brought us closer together." Amen.
Nebraska is the preseason favorite to win the Big Ten in the first year under Dani Busboom Kelly. The Huskers landed four players on the preseason All-Big Ten team, including three unanimous selections — Harper Murray*, Andi Jackson*, Bergen Reilly* and Rebekah Allick.

NEW | “I thought it’s what needed to be done.” Sure, Matt Rhule was talking about getting on a bull when he said that sentence, but it also applies for something else: Bringing @marques_buford to Las Vegas for media days. My column w/ Marques: journalstar.com/sports/huskers…
Three Nebraska volleyball players were named to the AVCA national player of the year watchlist for the upcoming season. journalstar.com/sports/huskers…
Red-bottom shoes, a Vegas-themed suit and 22 minutes of poise behind the mic. Dylan Raiola brought fashion (and focus) on Tuesday. journalstar.com/sports/huskers…
One of the strangest follow-up questions of my career, I think.
Asking the important questions
I loved Matt Rhule's answer because it was about why this was the right job for him. That IS moving on. I can't help the premise of the question. I didn't ask it.
Same. I like Amie, I think she does a really good job but this coming a week after she told fans to move on is super disappointing.
Here's (part of) what I was talking about with Matt Rhule's masterclass:
Matt Rhule gives a 4-minute answer on Scott Frost's comments regarding the Nebraska coaching job. Fascinating stuff. "This wasn't a good job. But we've made it a good job. We're about to make it a great job." #Huskers @1011_News Part 1:
Matt Rhule is on a heater at the side session right now, prompted by a question from @steven_sipple about Scott Frost's "wrong job" comments about Nebraska + why this is the right job for Rhule. This is going to be a must-watch 5+ minutes.
"We believe that we can play with anybody," Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule said at Big Ten Media Days. From the #Huskers' potential in 2025 to Dylan Raiola's progress and reasons for a Year 3 surge, here are the highlights from Rhule's podium session: journalstar.com/sports/huskers…
Matt Rhule gave an incredible and nuanced answer on the close losses (and special teams miscues) from last year. Too much for a singular tweet, but plenty to dissect.
Nebraska's Matt Rhule on Dylan Raiola's maturation: "He now embraces when he's frustrated and when things aren't going well -- he doesn't blame others and he puts it on himself and says 'I'll fix this.'"
Tony Petitti is clear: the 16-team College Football Playoff should feature conference play-ins and auto bids — not 11 at-large selections. journalstar.com/sports/huskers…
