Focused on building more housing, smart transit policy, and New Jersey culture.
“New Jersey is also a model of smart, safe A.I. use: It has trained more than 14,000 employees to use A.I. tools to work more efficiently. Meanwhile, New York passed a law barring A.I. from replacing any part of a state employee’s job duties.” nytimes.com/2025/07/22/opi…
I appreciate this, but it's very difficult to overcome local opposition, nevermind a federal NRC that openly defies the law.
Third, we need a reliable source of electricity generation that can meet our state’s need for decades to come – and that’s nuclear power. I’ll work with neighboring states to harness economies of scale and expand safe nuclear power capacity in New Jersey at a low cost, which will…
The claim made by Kolluri is that the union gave NJT a lot more flexibility (specifics in story) in exchange for higher salaries (and hence why this doesn't trigger automatic raise rules for other contracts.) That's a concept that gets talked about in education a lot.
The contract between @BLET and @NJTRANSIT was finally approved last night, almost two months after it was first agreed to and ended the 3-day strike. More on the details and the “givebacks that had value.” northjersey.com/story/news/tra…
Just close Hoboken on weekends to make the needed repairs, albeit every Jersey City resident loves when that happens. But afterwards, fire the leadership and get actual subject matter experts in charge.

"The new NACTO document even put a protected intersection on its cover — a reference, says director of policy and practice Stefanie Seskin, to this edition’s emphasis that cycling infrastructure goes beyond the bike lane." bloomberg.com/news/features/…
This really says it all, doesn’t it? This planter barely lasted a month, at the very intersection where a 6-year-old was recently killed. There are no accidents.
Where a city council member admits the intent of their housing policy is to make a small portion of the population, in this case new renters, pay for jobs programs and subsidize a variety of public benefits that should be broadly borne by all residents.
FBW is a NIMBY group that has fought building housing in Hoboken for decades.

Look, they're all conservatives. I voted Schillari because Craig Guy and Brian Stack suck, but he's old and I don't really care that he lost.

I just don't believe that the best way to build a school/park/early childhood center is to squeeze every last penny out of new entrants to a community vs using the broad base of taxes that everyone in the community pays to fund these basic government functions. The former chokes…
To be clear, the charter revisions reduce power for individual council members. It takes honesty and integrity to admit that a comprehensive citywide process is better for affordability. Big respect to @OsseChi @ebottcher @ShaunAbreu @PiSanchezNYC for not signing onto the letter.
It's stark - neighborhood by neighborhood, the old ones flood, the new ones don't.
I cannot stress what an AMAZING accomplishment this is because of this administration. Jersey City had next to no flooding - in areas that would have normally be 3 - 5 ft underwater. There are NO other cities with this type of infrastructure investment - the proof is self evident

Post Sandy + Ida, our administration made a huge investment in flood mitigation - more than any city in NJ + it has worked. We will leave the city MUCH better than the way we received it and often this type of investment in flood mitigation doesn’t get the recognition until days…
This is the kind of politics that makes building housing in NYC impossible. Politicians need to realize they are the problem.
That’s not the point. I support new housing in my district - but we also negotiate deeper affordability, union jobs, & significant investments in Parks and other infrastructure to meet needs of growing communities. This Commission has decided that shouldn’t happen any more.
Embarrassing for people like Rivera and Restler to sign this.
The Charter Commission’s Final Report significantly weakens the City Council’s role in land use decisions. This shift toward executive control undermines democratic oversight and meaningful public engagement. I stand with my colleagues who are fighting back. Our statement below:
