Yesterday’s sunset view from Pebble Beach, Brooklyn Bridge Park
Eric Adams has proposed cuts to early childhood education 9 times totaling over $1B. New Yorkers know Mayor Adams has gone out of his way to undermine 3K and UPK time and again. In an election year he is claiming credit for investments championed by the City Council.
Quick reminder that @NYCMayor’s ‘Best Budget Ever’ makes unprecedented investments in our city’s children while still putting a record amount of money in the reserves. Our budget – which passed unanimously by the City Council – ensures that all of our students continue to get the…
Last night, we hosted a CPR training with FDNY inspired by a heroic effort of Leela—a Greenpointer & nurse practitioner who recently saved the life of a neighbor in McCarren Park. After seeing someone collapse, she rushed to his side & began administering CPR, saving his life.
The Cadman Towers housing lottery opens today on HousingConnect and runs through Sept 22! There are 18 affordable co-op units available—one of the few remaining affordable ownership opportunities in the area. housingconnect.nyc.gov/PublicWeb/deta…
.@NYCWater will dock a sludge boat outside Newtown Barge Park for 2-3 hrs a day for 4 months while their smaller ships that service the plant undergo repairs. This will be disruptive, but is necessary for DEP to move sludge out of Newtown Creek Facility & get work done quickly.
At a Council hearing in March, I questioned DOC why patients are not being moved to the newly built unit at Bellevue Hospital for Rikers detainees with serious health needs. Construction was completed in January. Five months later, over 100 beds remain empty and no plan.
A 104-bed facility for seriously ill detainees is mostly finished but unopened — three years late and nearly double its original cost — because the Department of Correction says it lacks enough officers to secure it. buff.ly/hNqU3gE
The Charter Commission’s Final Report significantly weakens the City Council’s role in land use decisions. This shift toward executive control undermines democratic oversight and meaningful public engagement. I stand with my colleagues who are fighting back. Our statement below:
Nothing says “I ❤️ NY” like “I will only live here if I am the Mayor.” nypost.com/2025/07/19/us-…

This man was the interim police commissioner for part of the fall. Did @nycmayor think he had cognitive issues then?
🚨@NYCMayor strongly implies former Commissioner Donlon has cognitive issues "just interview him for 15 minutes" Was Cuomo behind the lawsuit? 👉I don't have hard proof of anything. I just know this whole thing is fishy, blanks and typos in the lawsuit.
🎉 Michelin just added 14 new restaurants to its guide—and two are in District 33! Check out these North Brooklyn spots and enjoy some fantastic food. 🍽️ Taqueria El Chato on Manhattan Ave 🍽️ Enso Omakase on Berry St
Massive business and commerce of Orthodox community showcased by Satmar at Edison’s NJ Convention & Expo Center. Yesterday’s event offered tremendous opportunities for commerce and business growth while highlighting the extraordinary talents our communities continually produce.
It was great to have our devoted Councilman @LincolnRestler touring the Satmar Business Expo - together with @NYCSpeakerAdams' rep @PesachOsina - schmozzing with attendees, and almost getting a shtreimel.
Exciting improvements are coming to Montague St to make it better for pedestrians & small businesses! @NYC_DOT is adding public seating for outdoor dining, expanding sidewalk space & including new public realm amenities! This will calm traffic & improve pedestrian experiences.

Zohran is a leader who listens. I appreciate that he heard the Jewish community about how this language makes many of us feel unsafe. As our next Mayor, I know he is committed to the safety of Jewish New Yorkers and that he cares about our concerns. nytimes.com/2025/07/15/bus…
Newsflash: Eric Adams and his team are wildly corrupt.
