If you care about abundance and housing growth. This is a visual of the article below. What you see here is the result of long-term planning, smart zoning, and strategic investment. None of it existed when we started. Today, it’s a vibrant, growing neighborhood and a case study…
Construction Update: Downtown Jersey City's Northern End Continues to Boom - New residential buildings are popping up all around this Jersey City neighborhood, with streetscape improvements, new parks, and flood mitigation projects all making progress: buff.ly/ebdt8xB
We spend so much energy being anti–the other party (Democrats + Republicans alike) treating the opposition as the biggest threat to society. But the truth is, the most transformative force shaping our future isn’t partisan at all it’s AI. We’re not paying nearly enough attention…
Incredible turnout tonight at our thank-you event for volunteers from the gubernatorial campaign. I still can’t believe how many ppl came out tonight and wish I had a picture that did justice with multiple rooms. I spoke about the path ahead and how the work continues. We’re not…

Something I appreciate about @StevenFulop is he puts forward and fights for a bold vision for Jersey City. Projects like Pompidou, bus rapid transit, and a full bike network that critics decry today will be beloved in the long run. I will miss that can-do attitude.
New pic of Journal Square from the top of our new public safety HQ on MLK. None of this existed before our term and more is on the way. When the Loew’s and Pompidou open, this will be the cultural heart of New Jersey with population, restaurants, coffee shops + mass transit

Post Sandy + Ida, our administration made a huge investment in flood mitigation - more than any city in NJ + it has worked. We will leave the city MUCH better than the way we received it and often this type of investment in flood mitigation doesn’t get the recognition until days…

Mamdani referencing JC housing policy as a model to emulate. Now this. Let’s be clear, Adams didn’t let us do anything. We just did it. Because we’re better.
It’s so annoying that Adams let Jersey City lap us when it comes to secure bike parking. Mamdani needs to fix this immediately
From PATH to Turnpike widening to transit deserts in South Jersey, NJ’s broken transportation system fuels bigger issues: housing, segregation, affordability, energy, and sustainability. Truth is we can’t really fix any of these issues without addressing transportation.…

Reform here is needed in NJ. Unlike 22 states, NJ has no automatic recount law even razor-thin elections require a request and payment. With no party line now, close races will be more common. Let’s protect democracy with fairer recount rules. #NJPolitics #ElectionReform
If you've seen one judge, then you've seen one judge: recount rejected in Roselle (3-vote margin out of 2,989) and allowed in Ship Bottom (10-vote margin out of 244). newjerseyglobe.com/local/judge-re…
We’re about to repave Palisade Ave entirely and as part of the project, near Dickinson HS, we’re adding a protected bike lane w/zero loss of parking. This will make the area much safer for students + more North//South opportunities. Our administration has delivered 24 miles of…

It’s incredibly disappointing to see the State of NJ raid its own Affordable Housing Trust Fund, especially when the housing affordability crisis in our state — and especially here in Jersey City — has never been worse. Thank you to Jerry Walker for joining me to push back.

RFK isn’t wrong on this point. We were actually ahead of the curve on this in Jersey City, we were amongst the first in the country to experiment widely with Oura Rings for residents in our public housing sites as part of Healthy Greens + Healthier JC. It worked in the sense as…

Jersey City was ahead of the curve on cannabis legalization and now we’re reinvesting that revenue into free summer programming for kids across our neighborhoods.

I remain steadfast that spending $12B to widen the Turnpike instead of investing in mass transit will go down as one of the most shortsighted mistakes of the Murphy administration + a symbol of Trenton’s failure to plan for the future.
Now is your chance to leave a public comment stating your opposition to the @TurnpikeTrap that will double the Turnpike extension from four lanes to eight in Jersey City and Bayonne. Please take five minutes to leave a comment. See link in next post. 1/2
Just a few years ago, a project like this was unthinkable on Jersey City’s West Side. Today, I cut the ribbon on The Verde, 155 new units (10% affordable) near Lincoln Park. Proof of the progress + momentum we’ve built on the West Side. The story is changing.…

12 yrs ago tomorrow, I was sworn in as mayor of #JerseyCity. I still remember the excitement + you can see from this photo the city felt it too. That moment kicked off the most ambitious chapter in our city’s modern history +today, JC is one of the best midsize cities in the U.S.
