After a lot of work and countless 5am starts, it’s AMAZING to have received my advanced copies of The Osprey prior to publication on 29th Feb. Thanks so much to @chiffchat for doing such a brilliant job. What an honour to have contributed to this iconic series.

What an end to the week! We can now confirm that over the past five days, four Ospreys have fished the trout farm. Female 30 and Males 11, 30 and T7 11 dropping in for his breakfast on Friday morning 📸 Bill Glancy
The return of #WhiteTailedEagles to England is connecting people with nature in inspirational ways 🦅 In our 3 part series we’ll be sharing more about how this landmark conservation project is restoring these iconic birds. @ForestryEngland @RoyDennisWF bit.ly/3TIXfo8
So pleased to see this Osprey return. Hopefully a sign of things to come in the West Midlands
What a phenomenal week! The Osprey chick we ringed in Staffordshire in 2023 with @RoyDennisWF & @timmackrill has returned! He was seen fishing in the county on Thursday. The survival rate for migrating young birds is only thought to be around 30%. An incredible record!!!
White-tailed Eagle G542 recently became the third eagle from the Isle of Wight to make a flight across the English Channel. She spent a month in France, travelling more than 2000 miles, before returning to Southern England. Read more: roydennis.org/2025/05/12/ano… @SeaEagleEngland
🧵 The unringed adult peregrine pair at All Saints Church in #Stamford have bred for their fifth year. This year (2025), they have four chicks which were successfully ringed under licence this morning, Monday 26th May, ages 24, 24,23 and 22 days.
Our team spend many hours observing the released #WhiteTailedEagles to learn about their behaviour including diet. During a recent monitoring session they were lucky enough to capture this great clip of one of the eagles catching cuttlefish in the Solent Estuary. @RoyDennisWF
We have our first egg of 2025! Just on 08.47 this morning, Tuesday 25th March. #stamford #peregrinefalcons #lincolnshire @bbcemt @SaintsOnline

Welcome home Male 30(10) 30 is a key bird for us here at the trout hatchery. We’re sure many of you will be delighted to see his return April can be a fantastic month to witness Ospreys feeding to build up their strength after a lengthy migration.
Many of our GPS tagged Whooper Swans are in the air right now starting their migrations back. Folk in Lincolnshire/Yorkshire/Northumberland/Cumbria - are you seeing visible Whooper migration today? I'd love to hear :-)
She'll be home within the hour! That time of year, as Whoopers crisscross the country heading home to Iceland. Always leaves me happy with a hint of sadness! Watching AAF's migration playing out on my laptop, a glimpse into her life, is such a privilege, she's got 30km to go 💛
Early start paid off, ‘33’ gathering lots of sticks to build the nest up in Manton Bay. @rutlandospreys @timmackrill

Brilliant beaver site in Dorset stuffed full of dragonflies that never before were there. All change in 2.5 years. The bringers quite unequivocally of life.
It’s almost exactly 4 years ago, has anything changed? So proud of Lucy for writing this, especially considering what she’s going through. And now the rumour mill is throwing up more male names in the birding world, time to call them out?
Like so many people I’ve been deeply disturbed by #saraheverard’s story, followed this week by so many harrowing tales from other women. I’ve written for @BirdwatchExtra @BirdGuides on how we can all make women safer in wild places bit.ly/3cn1tvz
