apple.news/AoaFw_iCVT1OXp…. This is indeed a triumph. Well done.
Best word ever for a range of individuals within our modern nature conservation movement.

As the rivers run dry yet again NE have just informed me that they can't yet make up their minds about a beaver EOI I have assisted. So while riparian life dwindles and dies the one natural solution we could rely on for centuries to come remains forbidden.

More daftness today from the sheep industry. Blame the eagles. Blame the trees. Blame rewilding. The truth is they are uneconomic and the pitch is to retain a few on the basis that they provide in clarified environmental benefits. So more subsidies They don't. Let them go.

IF NOT NOW, WHEN? AGAIN. REWILDING LAND to SEA BEYOND 2025 at Rewilding Coombeshead Nature Focused Education & Stays event tickets from TicketSource ticketsource.co.uk/keep-it-wild/i…
Another brilliant speaker for what's promising to be a fab few days. D

If you want to change landscapes for nature in a fashion that's radical no one does it better than the Dutch. If your tired of sitting between the horns of a dilemma come with us in September to see.

The problem with this is that it's nonsense. Sheep farming on an industrial scale with pesticides is barely half a century old. There is no real basis other than one that's made up to suggest that it's at scale anything other than a blight.

Turtle Doves Trust - Sandringham Estate. Courageous project. In a time of much talk this is a good initiative. Wild population circa 2000 perhaps this project will help reinforce and extend the population. sandringhamestate.co.uk/turtle-doves-t…
They just kept on coming !!!! brilliant biologist and astounding late night singer Dr Rachel Gardner will be speaking about the rising aspirations of FE with regard to species restoration.

Halwill, Beaworthy, Devon EX21. If anyone out there is interested this is stunning bit of wildlife rich land. We at Keep It Wild can't buy due to other commitments. If sold for farming it's destruction will be guaranteed. kivells.com/properties/HAG…
Lying morons. By the time you have wrecked and ploughed it you are going to produce fk all food.

Shock news. Evil Elon releases ranks of rampaging rodents in revenge.
Concerns about the Lake District World Heritage Site - Lee Schofield. He's right. leeschofield.co.uk/concerns-about…
It would make you laugh if it wasn't so serious. Yesterday I attended a conference where health screening butterflies came to £37,000 - no serious conditions since the dawn of time have ever arisen from them - but kissing a farm calf could kill you. Wildlife is not the problem.

Day was however about red backed shrike breeding for reintroduction. There is little doubt that the technical bits can be done and that much habitat exists or can be created. Time to make a start ?

Knepp Castle today. Presentation on possibility of reintroducing black veined white butterflies. Habitat great. No risks of consequence. We should be moving on fast.
