Since the fall of Kabul in 2021, Afghan women have been banned from education, employment, political participation, and even access to basic public spaces. They are no longer teachers, journalists, doctors, or aid workers. They are no longer allowed to exist as visible,…
The Taliban are now arresting Afghan women simply for walking outside without a male guardian. This is not culture — it’s gender apartheid and cruelty. The world must not stay silent.
🚨We believe and see that opponents of women's rights have reported our page in an attempt to silence the voices of Afghan women. As a result, our posts are no longer easily visible. Please, we ask everyone to share and promote our page so the voice of Afghan women is not…
No impact assessment was carried out before an 84% male Dáil passed this dangerous and unnecessary Act in 2015 at the behest of activists. Women never consented to allowing men to "self-id" as women, a safeguarding risk to us and to children. (🧵of 15th) womensspaceireland.ie/articles/the-g…
Imagine your 12-yr-old daughter training for yrs only to be told a boy can now share her pitch, her changing room, her sport @LadiesFootball enables this @OfficialCamogie allows it now “case by case” The Govt & @officialgaa are ignoring her And redefining what inclusion means
There are 6 counties in Ireland where it is unlawful for males to play @LadiesFootball and be present in a changing room where females are undressing. It shouldn't be happening in all 32. Safety and fairness for women & girls should not be sacrificed in the name of inclusion.
Today my colleague, the Communities Minister, confirmed to me that only biological women should be playing in all female sporting codes. He will also agreed to write to all codes his Department funds to make them fully aware of the recent Supreme Court Judgement.
High achieving women who pull up the ladder behind them are owed no fealty from other women. You can be a useful idiot for male cosplayers and cheats, or you can fight to ensure that girls who follow in your footsteps have a fair shot. You can't do both.
Brilliant. Now we must find the courage to say it is wrong that women and girls who play Gaelic football must include males in their sport. Inclusion cannot be at the expense of safety and fairness for female athletes.
The absolute brilliance of @sharrond62 and @mara_yamauchi here, particularly Sharron's righteous anger at the constant prioritising of males at the expense of women and girls. Listen from 31.40. Every single word they say can be applied to @LadiesFootball.
This is stunning from @sharrond62 and @mara_yamauchi in the face of appalling bias Nothing but facts. BBC Global - your correspondents need to start leaving their own views in the locker room and start bringing their professional selves to work. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/w1…
In light of recent open letters from academia and the arts criticising the UK's Supreme Court ruling on sex-based rights, it's possibly worth remembering that nobody sane believes, or has ever believed, that humans can change sex, or that binary sex isn't a material fact. These…

** UPDATE** Very concerning news coming out of the LGFA. Despite everything that has happened in the last few days, it is refusing to acknowledge that its policy is completely incompatible with fairness, safety and sporting integrity. Today, we were contacted by a parent whose…
The biggest unanswered question for me is: this: Why did the LGFA apply this policy to children? Why did it consider it acceptable for 12-year-old girls, starting puberty, to be coerced into sharing their changing facilities with pubescent males? Why was safeguarding ignored?

It took three extraordinary, tenacious Scottish women with an army behind them to get this case heard by the Supreme Court and, in winning, they’ve protected the rights of women and girls across the UK. @ForWomenScot, I’m so proud to know you 🏴💜🏴💚🏴🤍🏴
🚨 BREAKING: The Supreme Court has ruled that a woman is defined as biological sex under the Equality Act of 2010
Landmark Judgement UK Supreme Court rules in favour of biological women, girls & their sex-based protections under Equality legislation. The GRA was brought in to protect the 1% but catastrophically eroded the rights of the 51%. The Irish government must now reform the GRA here.

Absolutely delighted with this. The judgment puts women's rights back at the heart of the Equality Act
We have said from the very start we believe the inclusion of males in Ladies Gaelic football breaches equality legislation - north and south. Well, there are six counties where this is now demonstrably the case. The LGFA's policy must not be allowed to stand.
