Israel says it has bigger jobs to do than look after foreign journalists in Gaza. I'm not asking them to look after me. I'm just asking them to let me in. I'll look after myself as I do in every war zone I visit. We have freer access to Sudan, Congo & Yemen than we have to Gaza.

It's not a journalist's job to say this person says it's raining and this person says it isn't. It's our job to go outside and see if we get wet. The evidence of starvation coming out of Gaza is overwhelming. If Israel wishes to dispute this, the solution is simple: let us in.

When there is “a famine of the truth” you allow in those who bear witness to do so. Israel is not allowing it. Let in foreign independent journalist and investigators, if you don’t believe the doctors, the aid workers, the civilians, your own soldiers and civilian contractors.
