It isn't every day you get 10,000 followers. It is a day we make history. And only fitting is a map of a race, that changed history: the very first victory of Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell, 38 years ago in 1984, against Democratic incumbent Walter Dee Huddleston.

Giovanni Capriglione had an estimated WAR value of R+2.4. Considering how bland the overall GOP incumbents are in the state, it seems the caucus is losing one of its stronger candidates.
There is a unified theory of everything. -OS
Wow - glad to help with this
Happy Friday! In 1968, Virginia voters narrowly chose Richard Nixon for President. Like the rest of the South, sharp racial divides split the state's historically large Democratic electorate. Nixon had considerable support in the suburbs, medium-sized cities, and the Valley.

Scoop: Tejano singer Bobby Pulido is forming an exploratory committee as he mulls a congressional run in TX-15 texastribune.org/2025/07/24/bob…
Whoa. Actually been talked about for years as a huge get. But - it is a Trump double digit seat. Probably should have run 4 years earlier.

The Final RCV round of the 2025 Democratic Mayoral Primary in NYC, a contest between former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Democratic Socialist Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani Ballooned Zohran’s impressive High single digit win into a commanding 13% margin over the former Governor
Omg he sounds like his dad
Hunter Biden calls out the Pod Save America team as "four white millionaires dining out on their association with Barack Obama from 16 years ago" as he outlines his issues with the greater Democratic establishment
The logical end-point of all the redistricting wars is just electing representatives at-large. If the Supreme Court is going to abolish the VRA anyway, then what would California have to lose by electing 52 Democrats and 0 Republicans?
30 years after it was first uttered, the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy quickly comes to bear. Execute Order 66.
Some redistricting news: MISSOURI Republicans are discussing a new 7R-1D map that would crack Dem Rep Emanuel Cleaver's Kansas City district The WH, which pushed TX to redistrict, is on board, per sources familiar The current map is 6R-2D punchbowl.news/article/campai…
The 2021 Pittsburg Mayoral Democratic Primary, a contest between State Rep. Ed Gainey and Incumbent Mayor Bill Peduto was a bitter one which saw the Progressive Gainey win over a man who claimed to have paved the way for progressives to win in Pittsburg,
Democratic redistricting chatter amounts mostly to impotent rage.
Whenever I hear the name "Batya Ungar Sargon" my first thought is of Sauron lol
Even in the Great Blue Wave year of 2018, Texas Republicans lost only 2 seats. The bet is that if a blue wave happens, it won't be seen from a mile away and the incumbent House Reps are going to still win fairly easily. After all, which Dem wants to run in a base R+15 seat?
In 2018, Texas was within 3 points for Congressional vote. If that happened again, would they hold?
I do not think everyone who is yelling about the Texas map becoming a dummymander in 2026 understands what that phrase means, or how red Texas is at the moment. It is *highly* unlikely they dilute their seats enough to flip them blue in 2026.
NJ Indians swung 90(!) points towards the GOP and were rewarded with…the most vitriolic racism we’ve seen since the Belle Epoque.
Edison, NJ Voting District 78 (95% Asian, mostly Indian): 2012: D+80 2016: D+66 2020: D+64 2024: R+30
The real problem is that when people are annoyed by random left-wingers saying and doing XYZ, they take it out on the Democratic Party, but don't punish Republicans when right-wingers endorse blood & soil nationalism and repealing the 19th
Asked Beshear, who has been telling Dems to avoid “advocacy language,” about “birthing person.” Not a fan! semafor.com/article/07/17/…
