Early Years Lead (Nursing} Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Training Hub Queen’s Nurse. PNA. views are my own opinions
I am struggling now at 60 to do the physical aspects of nursing. My daughter also a nurse would not be able to go on to 72.
6/ Resident doctors are discussing strike action, and yet this is a nursing workforce who don’t even have above statuary sick pay, maternity or paternity pay embedded nationally within the GP contract @wesstreeting This must be a priority for patient safety.
Would be easiest way to recruit and retain nurses for sure
This is a no brainer Anyone that has worked in the NHS for 2 years should have their student written off
i am not prone to conspiracy theories but this is sinister agenda to undermine professional status &autonomy and employ people on the cheap who are easier to control and less "challenging" and independent it also fails to understand nature hard-won professional praxis/mastery
Standing at a podium speaking about vision without a plan is an hallucination. Describing a future with no way of building it, is a mirage. myemail.constantcontact.com/Brochure.html?…
Very well deserved @gillboast
It was an honour to present @gillboast with the Chief Nursing Officer Award for her outstanding achievement to nursing. An inspirational General Practice Nurse with more than 47 years of service, Gill has directly improved the lives of thousands of people👏👏👏#teamCNO
#cardiffcityfc Bale fronted American consortium offered Tan 85 million in the last few hours. Next few days going to be an interesting watch. In Malaysia it’s reported he wants 135 million.
When you discover your brother in law has a really good friend who is probably my original nursing hero…….
Mr Musk, X has become a terrible media of violence and nudity since you took over. You need to clean it up sir. It's not a nice place to be now days. Who agrees ? @elonmusk
It’s called Covid. Tested positive 3 days ago and been in bed ever since. Know lots who have the “summer flu “
People report 'summer flu is here' as bouts of illness sweeps through UK ift.tt/sM4kDiT
.3/ Our patients carers and communities deserve to be seen and supported by experienced nurses with the breadth and depth of skills, knowledge, needed to deliver excellence in care. This decision will adversely impact clinical quality & nursing outcomes.

We did a deep dive into General Practice Nursing to address concerns that nurses might be undertaking roles they weren’t trained/qualified for. We found they WERE trained/qualified for role, often in their own time, sometimes at own expense. BUT not paid at appropriate grade!
@ShaunLintern there’s a real story here in not only T&Cs of #GPNs but how they are treated more broadly

On @greateranglia train looking forward to going to Great Yarmouth to work with a GP practice using systems thinking to look at demand as part of our @uniofeastanglia partnership
We looked at 50 years worth of inquiries I have a slide....
I graduated in Sept '24 and was lucky to land an NQN post by Jan. Many from my cohort are still banking as support workers, and some have left nursing altogether. With more graduates, competition grows. The issue isn't a surplus of nurses, but a system strained by budget cuts.
Our updated position follows research and engagement with the public, prescribers, unregulated practitioners and business owners. (3/5)
