Better funding is needed for General Practice Staff funding needs to be separated from the patient care budget & administration In seeking a future for primary care the Govt needs to get it right Some GP employers who are failing their staff & patients need to get it right too
1/ Government expects 2025/26 pay awards to be passed on to practice nurses nursinginpractice.com/latest-news/go… #GeneralPracticeNurses have been been advocating for fairness, equality & parity within this space, and negotiating on an individual basis with GP employers for nearly 3 decades.
Excellent thread. Story is the same for Irish #GPNs. Time the @HSELive recognizes the amazing work done in General Practice. @PracticeNurses @GPANPIreland @NurMidONMSD @CarrollJennifer

No problem Louise, you know my thoughts on better resources for all of #GeneralPractice and #GPNurses are essential part of that. 👍🏻
A great thread 🧵 from @louisebrady17 about the importance of #GeneralPracticeNurses to the implementation of the #10YearHealthPlan and their importance to patients and carers as well as #GeneralPractice. 🤔

@wesstreeting this group if nurses are consistently undervalued and this is detrimental to #GeneralPractice
6/ Resident doctors are discussing strike action, and yet this is a nursing workforce who don’t even have above statuary sick pay, maternity or paternity pay embedded nationally within the GP contract @wesstreeting This must be a priority for patient safety.
Would love that. We have set up some great services here in MY community nursing and embarking upon new initiatives.
For 18 years, of a 30 year nursing career I worked in a full time in #GeneralPractice with supportive & proactive GP partners. I wish to see the same for the next generation of registered nurses. They deserve the very best, and as Simon says.. investment is needed. #GPNs
Great to hear from a longstanding GP colleague of mine.. thoughts re impact of nurses in #primarycare ? Long term investment needed. #GeneralPracticeNursing #TeamGP @doctor_katie @DrHelenAnderson @lizzy_bitz @missjkaur08 @RCNGPNForum @NurseLCarnall85 @nursegow @AngieHack10
