Jonathan Portes explains polling data showing that Britons are actually supportive of specific types of migration (like for care or NHS work).
And yet the polling doesn’t show that at all….
Home Office guidance for asylum seekers has a section telling them that sexual contact with a child, or someone unconscious, is not appropriate. If officials know that this is a potential risk, why have they allowed individuals into communities without proper vetting?

Any politician who is not committed to leaving the ECHR is either oblivious to the migration crisis, or does not care about it. This weakness from @JamesCleverly has no place in frontline politics.
In some positive news, the Home Office have relented and agreed to share asylum hotel locations with Deliveroo so they can stop asylum seekers living in them from working. I think mine and @matt_dathan's reporting last week piled on the pressure. (Link below)
