Excited to announce that @ScrapingF is sponsoring Ladybird with a donation of $5,000! 🙌 Thanks so much for supporting our mission! 💙🐟
This blog from @github does a great job of explaining why so many people are excited about @ladybirdbrowser and willing to put money down to see our mission succeed. It's a privilege to work on FOSS that gets people excited about the future! github.blog/open-source/ma…
Playing @Cut_The_Rope (HTML version) in @ladybirdbrowser 🐞🔪🪢 I remember being very impressed when this came out back in 2012(?). It felt like the web was finally gonna fill the shoes of Adobe Flash! Getting it to run in our new browser 13 years later, I'm once again…
Chris Wanstrath has stepped down from our Board of Directors. In his words, "The org is now over a year old with strong leadership and momentum, so this feels like the right time to formally step away. I’m grateful to have helped get the non-profit off the ground, and the…
Come visit @ladybirdbrowser on July 10-11 at the @WeAreDevs Tech Expo in Berlin! We are part of the @GitHub Open Source Zone. 🐞
Added a basic implementation of the Geolocation API to @ladybirdbrowser! It only emulates a single set of (fake) coordinates, we still need to add the permission model and we should have some settings to change its behavior... but we're getting there, one step at a time 🌎
Sometimes it can be tricky to improve a page's performance... @ladybirdbrowser had some trouble scrolling smoothly through this article, but it turned out the page was using `.scrollHeight` while scrolling for inline style updates - and we were returning the wrong value 😅 fixed!
We are amazed by @useblacksmith sponsoring us with their services! 🙌 Their runners now run most of our CI, decreasing our runtimes by 80% and queuing times by 75% through faster machines and caches with great locality. Thank you so much for supporting our mission! 💛
We got @CompileExplore running in @ladybirdbrowser! More work is required to actually edit the code live on the site, but we can now load/compile programs and view their disassembly. So cool! 🤓
Support @ladybirdbrowser — I’ve already done my part in cofounding Mozilla, restarting the browser market with Firefox, restarting web standards at Ecma and WHATWG => W3C. Remember: software rots if not updated and tested continuously.
Starting today, it's possible to donate to @ladybirdbrowser using your cryptocurrency of choice - this has been a much requested payment method, really happy that we're able to support it! 🐞
We're extremely happy to announce that the IRS has granted us 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status! Donations to the Ladybird Browser Initiative are now tax-deductible, including those made in the past.
Pretty impressed by how well @ladybirdbrowser does on rendering modern webpages, given it’s an independent browser with its own engine
Humbled by all the donations coming in to @ladybirdbrowser lately! It's amazing to have so many people rooting for us to succeed at this. Thank you all so much for the support! 💜💜💜
I've been inspired by @awesomekling for long time, honored to have a chance to support his cause that I'm totally aligned with. For the better future of open internet
