For political reasons I now post mainly on BlueSky. bsky.app/profile/johnsi… If you follow me on BlueSky I will follow you back.
Which Labour government policies do you think Jeremy Corbyn shouldn’t have voted against? Iraq? PFI? Tuition fees? When can’t people who raise the number of rebellions by Corbyn never answer this question?
Such a shame that Jezza’s career should end in this destructive shambles. He was a daft but decent Labour rebel who voted with the Tories 100s of times. But after his fantasy years as “leader” turned his head he’ll end up helping Farage bbc.com/news/articles/…
About time too.
This week I joined 221 MPs from across the House in calling for the recognition of a Palestinian state. This is my statement on the issues and you can read the letter to the Prime Minister here: facebook.com/share/1ZU2jbHX…
I have joined. As the socialist historian Raymond Williams said: "To be truly radical is to make hope possible rather than despair convincing."
It’ll go higher! Be a part of it: yourparty.uk
My MP, @peterkyle takes time out of his busy schedule as - whatever it is he is - to tell Times Radio Corbyn is 'chaotic'. No mention of the 'antisemitism crisis' fraud, which even he now seems to realise is belly up. #ItWasAScam independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n…
Oh look, here's @peterkyle with a woman who calls the Nakba the 'Arab lie'.

I told Farage that Jeremy's new party is coming for all the liars, thieves and warmongers. Including Starmer and including HIM. "How are you going to pay for it?" THE MONEY IS THERE! Join the revolutionary communists, and join the new party!
Well done Save the Children!
Fixed it for you, @Keir_Starmer. The UK is an ally to Israel's atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank. Now is the time to make our voices heard: Call on the UK Government to end its complicity. Sign our petition: bit.ly/4kXTLJs
Get him and others like him out. Disgusting people.
Here's Labour minister and Brighton MP Peter Kyle trying to look awfully sad about Gaza on ITV today And here he is grinning his head off with Israel's ambassador to the UK a few weeks back, AFTER Israel imposed its total starvation siege
This (by contrast) is the politics and direction we need. There's an absolutely extraordinary chance, in four years time, to make an unprecedented political breakthrough, but it's not going to happen without unity.
📢 Our Statement: the Left Must Unite 📢 If the new Left Party, Independents & the Greens work together, we can turn the tide of British politics - and win big. We will now focus all our campaign efforts on an electoral pact. United we stand, divided we fall.
Try saying, 'In the last two years, two million Jews have been starved and bombed with the most up to date weaponry in the world apart from atomic/nuclear.' Imagine the horror and rage from the world, and the interventions made in order to try and stop it.

Time and time again, you really have to scratch yourself to recall that @Keir_Starmer was actually an international human rights lawyer. theguardian.com/politics/2025/…
Israeli Govt appears to be paying Google to place propaganda accusing UN for “deliberate sabotage” of humanitarian efforts in Gaza by failing to distribute aid. It does not mention the 766 people shot dead at US-Israel backed GHF aid distribution sites. Seen today on YouTube.
I've put down a parliamentary motion supporting the proposal from tax experts for a Wealth Tax. A 2% Wealth Tax on assets over £10 million would raise over £24 BILLION a year. That's the fairer alternative to cuts we need. Over 30 MPs have backed it so far!
At the beginning of the genocide, Keir Starmer backed Israel's "right" to impose a siege on Gaza. As a human rights lawyer, he knows that's a grievous war crime. We now see the consequences. He then tried to gaslight us. But history will remember.
The suffering and starvation unfolding in Gaza is unspeakable and indefensible.
This is not just about left-right ideology. It's about making sure Britain is run in the interests of those who do the work, including those doing unpaid work, those unable to work or those retired from a lifetime of work.
Great to see @jeremycorbyn and @zarahsultana announce plans for a national party built from the grassroots! Let’s show what we can do in the North East by building a progressive alliance to win #Newcastle council in 2026! #WeAreTheMajority
I joined the Labour Party in 1963 but left over Iraq and re-joined under Corbyn but left after Starmer began breaking his socialist pledges. The left have to accept that a socialist Labour party is now an impossibility.
I have not been a member of any political party since 1981. Today, myself at 81, I paid up and joined the party without a name. Hope others, oldies, not-so-oldies and their children and grandchildren will do the same.
