Hilarious that Corbyn would've happily just continued as a back bencher, content with calling out the government when necessary, but Labour had to go scorched earth with him. Sent everyone to try get his seat & failed & now they've got another party to compete with. Forensic.
FFS - a serious proposition should be taken seriously.
Corbyn’s new party is designed to put Farage into No10 - it's a carbon copy of what German communists did when they let Hitler take power without a fight ... and the replies to this article are QED... thenewworld.co.uk/paul-mason-cor…
Just putting this here.
It’s been 25 years since I went to watch Oasis at Reading festival… They’ve still got it 👏
It’s both. They both fear Corbynism as a threat and regard it as morally illegitimate because it isn’t run like a medium sized corporation or by people like them.
Centrists: "Corbyn's party's a shambles; can't even launch properly". Also centrists: "It's going to take loads of votes off Starmer's Labour". Which is it? @UKLabour
Meanwhile, a Labour government is considering overriding the courts in favour of the lending industry. theguardian.com/business/2025/….
I hope the new party does well, Zack wins, Starmer is replaced by a soft left leader and the Lib Dems' progressive wing asserts itself. Cos honestly, an effective popular front against a Reform / Tory / Murdoch bloc will require ALL of those conditions to be met.
It's legit to stay pissing in the tent as long as you don't block the new party imo.
Very good interview with James Schneider on effective strategy for the new party.
It’s finally here. We will build our party together. But into what, how and for what purpose? I discussed that all with @Oliver_Eagleton. newleftreview.org/sidecar/posts/…
Lots of people asking if I’m going to join the new political party of Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana. Here’s my response: I’m staying put. Not because it’s easy - but because now more than ever, we need progressive voices in the Labour Party and this government. The…
Regardless of its awful moral and political content, the scale of professional deformation, isolation and myopia required to think that the libidinal bloodlust of far right protestors, journalists and politicians can be placated by minor tweaks to labour regulations is staggering
We’re cracking down on migrants working illegally as food delivery riders. We'll share asylum accommodation locations with Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats so they can take action if riders are staying there. We will do what it takes to ensure fairness for British people.
The Cunliffe commission was explicitly not allowed to consider renationalisation of water, a policy that has the support of 82% of voters. This is not democracy, and Starmer is handing the next election to Reform on a plate. gov.uk/government/pub…
The Cunliffe Report is a joke. Protecting water profiteers, screwing over billpayers. Scrap Ofwat, keep water privatised and hike bills by another 30%! Laughable. bbc.co.uk/news/live/c4g8…
Water privatisation has been a complete & utter failure. It is absurd that the government's report into the water industry didn't even consider public ownership. That's not a report. That's a political broadcast for the private sector. Put water back into public hands, now.

Compass, with @PeoplesMomentum and @OpenLabour, is calling for the whip to be reinstated to the four suspended MPs. It is time to build constructive and respectful relationships with all backbenchers and the whole of the Labour Party. actionnetwork.org/petitions/rein…
