"The Cunliffe Report is a joke. It protects water profiteers, screws over billpayers, and will do little to reduce pollution in our rivers and coastlines. The only solution is for water to be taken into public ownership" My new column for @theipaper inews.co.uk/opinion/the-cu…
To be clear about this the £100 billion to nationalise the water industry being branded about by govt this morning does indeed come from a think tank report commissioned, bought and paid for by; @AnglianWater, @stwater, @SouthWestWater and @unitedutilities It also uses a…
A politically dangerous moment Saturday’s Labour in Government: one year on Conference, organised by Claim the Future, drew a packed attendance. Below we reproduce a presentation by @FisherAndrew79 @johnmcdonnellMP @premnsikka labourhub.org.uk/2025/07/21/a-p…
Fair play, that's the best press coverage No10 has delivered yet 👏

That won’t clean up rivers or lower bills. Blaming Ofwat alone is like blaming the satnav for driving off a cliff when the road was built that way. The real problem is a privatised, extractive model prioritising shareholder payouts over public good. We need public ownership.
EXCL: Ministers are poised to announce they will scrap Ofwat next week Two people with knowledge of the planning tell me an announcement on ditching the water regulator is being lined up for Monday (A long-awaited independent report on the state of the industry drops at 7am)
Should the Labour whip be withdrawn from Keir Starmer while this investigation into one of his senior staff is ongoing @labourwhips?
🔴 BREAKING: Watchdog probing Starmer aide’s secret lobbying The findings of our extensive investigation into Varun Chandra has prompted the lobbying watchdog to launch an investigation into his former firm, Hakluyt & Company. Find out more here: bit.ly/4lDa9QX
did @Keir_Starmer listen to this before he suspended @HackneyAbbott ?
This is the clip of my interview.
Here we go again ...
BREAKING A Labour Party spokesperson said: “Diane Abbott has been administratively suspended from the Labour Party, pending an investigation. We cannot comment further while this investigation is ongoing.”
I wasn’t elected on a manifesto to slash billions from disabled people’s benefits - and nor was any other Labour MP.
NEW: Unemployment is up by 124,000 in the last year to 1.67 million. On the wider measure of underemployment, there are 4.98m looking for work - up by 465,000 in the last year. Vacancies fell again - meaning there are now currently 6.8 people for every job going.
This you @jessphillips ?

Thank you to both of my Constituency Labour Party’s and the wonderful members in them. Your support and solidarity shows the very best of our movement 🌹✊🚩
The suspension of four Labour MPs is outrageous and authoritarian. Our response:
The Spectator is shortly going to run a story about me attending Glastonbury. My response to them: “Typical of a right-wing rag that once ran a piece ‘In praise of the Wehrmacht’ to attack me for attending Glastonbury, where I spoke on two panels about how to confront the far…
Briefing quotes like this -- self-congratulatory dickswinging wannabe Malcolm Tucker dreck -- is a sure sign of how insular and entrenched No 10 is. Journalists should not grant anonymity to it.
