The ADHD urge to buy a thing, watch all the videos about the thing, religiously track shipping until it finally arrives, excitedly open the shipping box to get to the thing, then place the thing somewhere random to forget about it for 3-60 months.
It's really funny how this happens on the same day that UK rolls out its draconian verification policy. What do you think happens when every site and app is forced to verify their users, when just one single app doing so lead to this?
I tend to agree. I don't want to see the notorious stuff, but there's no reason to get between a willing buyer and a willing seller. Just don't try to advertise it to me.
Itchio and steam is just the start, if Detroit become human is one of their targets you really think any game or movie or book or indie project is safe? These people are a roving band of reactionary sycophants and everyone else is turning a blind eye because its "gross"
The dirty truth is that facilitating defamation and other torts with an internet platform is usually protected. That's why gossip forums can stay online. Legally, there's no difference between this thing and any other platform.
The Founder & CEO of Tea is a homosexual who created the app because his mom was DMing criminals on dating apps.
people are taking issue with me casually throwing out the word “demonic.” so let me double down. the creators of this app are going to get rich off making many decent people depressed and suicidal. this isn’t about safety. this isn’t just a background check app. their own…
I've never understood the stigma around video games and other nerdy hobbies being childish or something you grow out of when the large majority of people who keep these hobbies alive and successful are grown adults with jobs.
is it okay to be over 18 and still love buying plushies, collecting pokemon cards, and having extremely nerdy hobbies and interests ?
It's safer to be born good and be completely incapable of evil. But it's perhaps more commendable to be born evil but choose to be good through sheer force of will. The problem is that the evil nature remains and might re-emerge if there's even the slightest mistake.
The dirty secret is that a lot of people in relationships or getting into them have no idea what they're doing. Also, some of them expect to be madly "in love", but not everyone is capable of that (and that's not a bad thing). Mad love is still madness.
please don’t settle. you utimately ruin the other person’s future too
You need to be side quest maxxing. Get your pilots license. Get scuba certified. Go sky diving. Get your coastal cruising certificate. Become a sommelier. Get every niche / pointless certificate & license you can.
Why do people think it’s an age limit on enjoying the things you like? If anything being an adult is when you should get into em deeper because now you have the disposable income to buy what you want. The moment you stop doing what you like is the moment you start dying.
I think what people don't realize is that there's a collective aspect to risk appetite. When men see other men getting rejected left and right, they become more risk-averse themselves (and perhaps also more rejection sensitive). If you see lots of people like you getting hurt…
Why are so few young men approaching girls now? Massive shift underway where you have 8-9s yearning to be chatted up. They get dressed up to go out, but all for nothing.
Ding ding. So many people just use negative reinforcement and expect you to figure out the inconsistent and ever-changing rules governing what makes them angry. The problem is that a lot of them can't articulate themselves why they're angry.
autistic kids getting stereotyped as difficult or disobedient, meanwhile all it usually takes to earn their respect is just explaining the reasoning behind the things you do and the things you tell them to do
I personally think that the same Dark Triad traits that get people to the top of corporate and political hierarchies also lets them cheat without feeling guilt or shame.
Maybe a hot take but cheaters can't be trusted not only romantically but as friends/business partners too. If they can be that disloyal to the most important person in their life, their moral character is severely corrupt and that will bleed into every aspect of their life too.
I don't think I've ever had a positive interaction with a change manager. For some reason, they're always these incredibly surly and judgmental people who don't seem to have any capacity for joy.
>these two companies have a complete monopoly over 90% OF ALL ONLINE PAYMENTS I thought we had laws against Monopolies and Duopolys to prevent THIS VERY THING?
Steam updates its rules to comply with payment processor censorship, purges multiple titles. Details below.
