While OP clarified a bit, I do think we need better awareness in general, that if ND people are doing these things we aren't doing anything wrong, we're just being ourselves. It's our way of connecting and processing the situation.
does no one else think this is ableist?? especially these slides like one is telling someone to stop stimming which for adhders HELPS us concentrate and listen, the comparing situations one is just how autistic people tend to communicate, and keeping eye contact is obviously hard
As an autistic person, sometimes just being in the silent presence of the other person is the best thing you can offer. Sometimes that's all I need when I'm struggling. When I go into shutdown mode it can be hard to process words, and you just have to sit with the feelings.
