“Consumers may be under the impression that the danger of tobacco products comes primarily from smoking...” No matter how much wiggling @DrLeanaWen does to avoid admitting it, those consumers would be correct. archive.is/ILlH5/

The counterpoint to this is that Israel is preventing a genocidal theocracy from developing nuclear weapons, and kneecapping the state which is the largest funder of terror, and openly said they want to wipe Israel off the map....
Israel has launched a dangerous, preemptive, war of aggression. It should be condemned by the US government and US citizens alike.
I've just bought Prof. Mark Tyndall's new book, Vaping: Behind the Smoke and Fears. An excellent, fluent read and a powerful rejoinder to the myths and misinformation of the abstinence-only fanatics. More info, reviews and buying options: drmarktyndallauthor.com @DrMtyndall
It's very sad to see the AMA committed to such sophistry. Sara's a great writer and should instead use her talents to discuss the competing interests of promoting adult substitution while minimizing youth exposure. (🧵 1/8)
Also known as vapes, e-cigarettes may seem safe to use, but they are not. Bilal Bangash, MD, of @BayhealthDE, shares more about vaping. ama-assn.org/delivering-car… (via @AmerMedicalAssn)
Disinformation from the FDA is a problem
There are high schools in America now where kids are saying half of the kids are addicted to these vaping products. We cannot get burned again like we did on opioids.
Governments tax cigarettes and alcohol endlessly because they think it will deter people from using these sinful, age-restricted products. Now Rhode Island is taxing nicotine pouches at 80%, which is like saying it's a sin to use nicotine in any form other than NRT. @gbentley1
Quitting smoking in Rhode Island just got more expensive, as the state budget passed includes an 80 percent tax increase on nicotine pouches. reason.org/commentary/nic…
After further research, this @nypost story: nypost.com/2025/07/17/hea… and this @PLOSONE study: journals.plos.org/plosone/articl… are so stupid that I don't even want to waste time engaging. Unfortunately, some people will read them, so I'll briefly touch on some major flaws. 1/6

How did public-health officials lose Americans' trust? Gradually for half a century, then suddenly during the pandemic. My article in the Atlantic: theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…
We debuted at #3 on Apple iTunes back in 2016 for our first big film. Proud to announce our latest feature-length documentary is out now on Apple TV. Big topic. It's deeper than most know. Give it a shot.

Think banning nicotine pouches makes people stop using them? It doesn’t. It hands the market to criminals and puts people at risk. Here’s why #ProhibitionDoesntWork 👇
This is the asymmetry of information warfare Yesterday the BBC (and most of MSM) published stories claiming Israel killed 31 Gazans standing in line for food Today they correct it But 1000x more people will see the original and not the correction It’s blood libel by design
Last night in Washington DC, a terrorist went to the Jewish Museum to hunt for victims. He opened fire on a group and murdered this beautiful young Israeli couple, Yaron and Sarah. The terrorist pulled out a keffiyah and yelled “Free Palestine” when he was arrested. He said he…
