Along with @RogerBate3 at @LawEconCenter, I've co-authored a comprehensive white paper on why the @WHO's behaviour and failings with regard to its @FCTCofficial tobacco treaty show that it cannot be trusted with a proposed pandemic treaty. 🧵1/3 laweconcenter.org/resources/less…

The EU’s proposed tobacco tax hike would make safer nicotine alternatives like vaping and pouches more expensive than cigarettes. This policy risks protecting smoking, not public health. @NannyFreeState in @Tobaccoharmred1: tobaccoharmreduction.net/article/war-on…

"At the six-month mark, 28.4% of vape users had successfully quit smoking compared to 9.6% of those using gum or lozenges." <- Shame that Australia has a science-phobic government. #ClownCountry tobaccoreporter.com/2025/07/16/aus…

I've been quoted by the @mnlstandardph about the @WHO's absurd plan to increase sin taxes by at least 50%. It's highly regressive, won't do any good, and is just a means of stealing money from the public to pay for the agency's failings. manilastandard.net/business/31462…

I've written at @Tobaccoharmred1 on why new tax proposals by the @EU_Commission would be a disaster for the health of Europeans. tobaccoharmreduction.net/article/war-on…
"Dr. Wen might think that nicotine’s risks to adults are greater than its benefits, but in a free society, adults—not government officials—should decide that for themselves." @dr4liberty at @CatoInstitute cato.org/blog/what-dr-w…
The smoking rate in the EU is twice what it is in the UK and has barely fallen in the last decade. It nevertheless thinks it can create a “nicotine-free generation” by 2040 and is lying about the risks of safer nicotine products. What a clown show!

I've written at @DailyPouchNews on the @WHO's new plan to increase sin taxes on tobacco, alcohol, and sugary drinks by 50 percent by 2035. This is moral blackmail from unelected and out-of-touch international bureaucrats. daily-pouch.com/why-should-wor…
“Perhaps most troubling is how this tax increase directly contradicts established public health objectives” At @reason, @gbentley1 writes about why the decision by @RIHouseofReps to massively increase tax on nicotine pouches shows incredible ignorance. reason.org/commentary/nic…
