Many books on autism tell you about autism. This book is different it discusses you, how it will change you, how you can choose do things differently, work around gatekeepers, get financial discounts (on council tax for example), access social security and direct payments

Interesting to see all these politicians saying how many houses they have built! I wonder if they used #lego? (Did you notice - not one was mentioned as being for vulnerable or disabled people)

Thinking about “celebrity autism” - the convenient excuse to avoid criticism of bad behaviour & getting caught. Genuine Autism is a very hard road. A road filled with potholes of misunderstanding, abuse, bullying & hate. Please don’t give bandwidth to celebrities& their excuses
#Oliverscampaign This is an exceptionally hard read, absolutely shocking bbc.com/news/articles/…
Travelling outside the EU this summer? You can count on the EU for help! If something goes wrong, and your country does not have an embassy or consulate in the country that you are travelling to, you can get help from another EU country that does - your right as an EU citizen.
I often wondered why parents and carers often hard up

Hey resident doctors, remember this: You owe the NHS nothing You owe the public nothing You owe the Trusts nothing You worked hard to become highly qualified and skilled professionals, it was all you You are owed a fair wage and NOT a pay cut! Same for consultants Strike hard
I wonder if these “experts” realise autism is on special offer in @Tesco as part of a two for one deal?
Yep. There's nothing support-wise. Local social services don't consider autism a disability unless there's an accompanying IQ of 70 or less. Severe mental illnesses in children don't count for their purposes either. I can't see how these criteria comply with Equality Act 2010.
Dear @BootsUK , My local sop now is all self service. The height is the same. How dies that help disabled people?
Banks who paid secret commissions to car dealers if they deceived customers into paying higher interest rates on loans could be rescued by Chancellor if Supreme Court finds against them bit.ly/4mbi6wp
Resident Drs 4d strike previously affected 200,000 appts Hospitals cancel 250,000 in the ave week Patients fail to attend 150,000 Doctors aren’t the problem but by standing up for fairness they are being scapegoated & the population gaslighted Let’s not let facts in the way
No pay offer. Bottle neck still in place. No real training environment. No thanks - I’ll stick with BMA.
Keir Starmer: Resident doctors should break ranks with the BMA leadership. The industrial action that starts on Friday is in no one’s interests and medics should not follow their union down its dangerous and destructive route, he says. thetimes.com/article/3fdcd5…
All this hate for Drs (or anyone wanting to be paid properly) Wanting to be paid what they are worth. As should ALL those who work for the nations health Maybe we should be shouting at the corporations and billionaires draining us of wealth and the ability to pay decent money.
A few months working in Australia. I have worked in two different states so far in Oz and I’m earning more in a WEEK than I used to earn in a whole month in England, my birth country, the place where I trained to be a Registered Nurse, the place that doesn’t value me or my…
