Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. - James 4:14
I'm now located in the other place. This account will be closed down in the next couple of days once the archive of my data is downloaded. So long and thanks for all the fish!
Gonna give this a go. Find me there. See you Twitter. It was fun.

What sedation regimen do you use to facilitate awake tracheal intubation? Does the type of sedation matter? @elboghdadly @sally_ghazali @dr_imranahmad @robsneyd buff.ly/3YUkXBb
🧵regarding the introducer sheath commonly known as a 'Cordis' catheter. We'll go over what it was originally designed for and why it ended up being adopted by other specialties for entirely different reasons. Also we'll look at its accessories and see what's inside one. (1/ )
I’d say the grass isn’t greener anywhere. Find a happy place for yourself (easier says than done) and find contentment in what you do.

Today it has been 2 months since I started working at Singapore General Hospital, and I've really enjoyed the transition. I've anaesthetised just over 100 patients during this time, and I think I have a sense of how things work in a new healthcare system now. It's been great!
My very wise and respected elder colleague was asked why they were so good at anaesthetising high risk patients undergoing complex surgery. His response was "Just kept running towards danger." Eventually you get desensitised to that feeling of panic.
There's no way to manage or treat anxiety without exposure to the things that make you anxious. Contrary to what TikTok therapists say, trying to feel safe or get comfortable is the pathway to anxiety becoming more entrenched. The way to deal with anxiety is exposure exposure…
Simply heartbreaking. As a father of 2 children of similar ages, I cannot imagine what these two are experiencing.
Palestinian journalist Alaa Hamouda met a displaced girl who had reportedly been carrying her injured sister on her shoulders for more than two kilometres barefoot. After meeting them, Hamouda helped them get to Al-Bureij refugee camp.
My friend is a general medicine TPD. He is insanely gifted. We were looking at medical training programmes together years ago and I asked him what it would cost to build a well-trained workforce today. I will never forget his answer… 'We can’t, we don’t know how to do it.'
