I am shaking. I can’t believe the DWP are reneging on their decision to award me LCWRA and expect me to repay the arrears they paid me. They want me to do ANOTHER assessment form. I feel like ending it. I can’t take this.
.@Shrink_at_Large: UC Bill guts crucial "substantial risk to health" protection for claimants, relied on by women/people with mental distress, rape survivors, people with heart conditions and anyone at serious risk from work conditions for benefit. #BinUCBill
New from me - Labour is gutting "substantial risk" for new UC claimants - the legal safeguard protecting suicidal & vulnerable disabled people from DWP pressure. This is life-and-death so please write to Lords for Tuesday & have it centred in Timms review tinyurl.com/4h8fazur
#WelfareNotWarfare #UCBill A call to action! The Universal Credit Bill is in the House of Lords tomorrow Tuesday 22nd July! Please contact the House of Lords Video to call for action youtube.com/shorts/JxroLMh…
The summer holidays can feel extra challenging and long for single parent carers. We are offering you a safe place to share, and hear from others in a similar position. No judgements and lots of peer support. @TNLUK

What happens when I can no longer care? An interactive and participative workshop. Lots of questions asked by parent carers. Calmly and clearly answered by Lucy from @irwinmitchell. "A great and convenient source of important and sometimes complex information."
Solidarity with @RachaelMaskell , @BrianLeishmanMP , @CHinchliffMP and @NeilForPoole ✊ You stood up for disabled people despite the risk to yourselves. You are heroes and Disability Rebellion has nothing but gratitude and respect for you all.
On BBC’s Today programme this morning Rachel Maskell came across as the sincere, honest & decent person she is. Suspending her for standing up for her constituents & following her conscience & then being abused by a No 10 spokesperson says more about the people in charge than her
I wasn’t elected on a manifesto to slash billions from disabled people’s benefits - and nor was any other Labour MP.
Jesus wept. And the 'system' never changed. @wesstreeting please respond to requests for meeting with relevant charities @CBFdn @Mencap. Please don't bother with @autism because they abandoned this group. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
#WelfareReformBill We fought really hard and we want to say thank you to all disabled people and allies who gave everything they had over the months raising awareness and building campaigns against disability benefit cuts We are exhausted We won’t give up We will fight on
Today, I voted against the government’s disgraceful cuts to disability support. Moments before, I joined disability rights campaigners outside Parliament to say: this isn’t over. We will not give up until we have built a society that cares for each other, and cares for all!
🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨 The Government's Universal Credit Bill has passed, rushing it through in one day, without a committee stage where Disabled people's voices could have been heard. It's clear: the government views Disabled lives as nothing more than a cost-cutting exercise
And the Universal Credit bill has passed. Some of the sickest people in the country will suffer needlessly more now. There is no justification, no excuse. Just ugly, cruel choices by ministers too cowardly to tax the wealthy rather than cut the poor. A shameful day for Labour.
🚨 We’re shocked and disappointed. The UK government has pushed through HUGE cuts to Universal Credit for disabled people applying in the future. These cuts will be devastating. They risk pushing even more disabled people to food banks.
At the #BinUCBill rally with @Dis_PPL_Protest and others. Solidarity with everyone who stands to lose from these cynical cute.
My speech in Parliament tonight on why I voted against the cruel cuts to disability support.
We must never stop reminding Tories about their track record when on their treatment of disabled people during 14 years of government.
Halving the UC Health Element means slashing £3,000 a year from over 700,000 sick and disabled people — a £2bn cut that hits those already struggling. It’s wrong to balance the books this way. We need real consultation and a fairer plan that puts people first.
