Serving my last 6 months as @NYCComptroller. My run for Mayor didn't go quite as I mapped it out ... but I'm feeling very hopeful nonetheless. #FightDontFold
Hope and solidarity won tonight, and will win again in November. Congratulations, @ZohranKMamdani.

Thanks so much @AsadFromNYC for the great tour yesterday! And to @m_barnette13 for arranging this excellent birthday present. Loved learning more about the history of our neighbors & neighborhoods. Was delicious, too!
Today I spent 3 hours with Brad Lander and his family, giving them a private tour on Brooklyn’s Muslim, Arab, and South Asian histories. I am so grateful for their deep curiosity and desire to support my work and our communities. Happy Birthday Mr. Comptroller. You’re fam now.
The line right now for Democrats isn’t between progressives and moderates. It’s between fighters and folders. Building a broad coalition of fighters in the era of Trump is how we win.
Trump is pressuring the Texas GOP to radically gerrymander their congressional districts so that Republicans can keep the House in 2026. Congressional Progressive Caucus chair @GregCasar is sounding the alarm. thenation.com/article/politi…
For my first submission to @lithub I feel pretty good about a B+. (But I also felt good about coming in 3rd with 11% of the vote, so it may be that I’m falling victim to the era of grade inflation). lithub.com/is-brad-lander…
After mismanaging the MTA for 10+ years as Governor, Andrew Cuomo would now like to mismanage it as Mayor.
.@andrewcuomo repeats that he would propose the city takes over the management of the MTA, which is run by the state. "The MTA is too big to be able to manage the transit authority, effectively, let the mayor, manage the New York City Transit Authority," he says.
Incredible few days with colleagues from across the country @LocalProgress Chicago convening discussing how to govern and deliver for our cities. Especially great being with New Yorkers & fellow auditors/comptrollers @NYCComptroller @lacontroller and other thoughtful leaders
To renovate or not to renovate? That was the question. How do you celebrate the re-opening of @publictheaterny’s Delacorte Theater and usher in another summer of Shakespeare in the Park? With a new sonnet, of course.
The Democratic Primary did not go the way I had hoped either. 🤷🏻♂️ But unlike Andrew Cuomo, I’m capable of listening to New Yorkers. (Also, I like to think I got a little better at making videos as the campaign progressed) Help @ZohranKMamdani crush Andrew Cuomo a second time:…
In it to win it.
.@ZohranKMamdani signed on here to defend City of Yes in court
Deeply grateful for these pro-housing leaders’ defense of City of Yes
