Incredible few days with colleagues from across the country @LocalProgress Chicago convening discussing how to govern and deliver for our cities. Especially great being with New Yorkers & fellow auditors/comptrollers @NYCComptroller @lacontroller and other thoughtful leaders

Thanks to Scott Butler and the @NYSDOT @NYSDOTSyracuse team for an informative tour of the ongoing work on #i81. While there’s still much to go, I’m excited about the improved connections and bike and pedestrian infrastructure happening here.

66 years ago, we lost Firefighter Enrico Vendetti of Engine 6 and Lt. Robert McCarthy of Engine 7 in the line of duty. Their engines collided while responding to a fire at 608 S. Townsend St. #SyracuseFire
Our cities only move when everyone can move together. That’s the special mission of the Americans with Disabilities Act and it’s just and critical 35 years later. Proud to be with our disability community advocates at City Hall to celebrate and support the work ahead.

The one big, beautiful bill is one big, ugly disaster for CNY. When the I-81 viaduct comes down, we need more than holes in the ground. It's shameful for GOP members of Congress to strip urgently needed funds away from Syracuse to rebuild our streets. localsyr.com/news/local-new…
Today is National Made in America Day! Did you know: 👷♀️ Micron employs nearly 10,000 people in the U.S. ✅Micron has at least 2 suppliers in each of the 50 U.S. states 🚙More than half the vehicles on the road in America today have a chip made at Micron’s fab in Manassas,…
Happy Fiscal New Year to all who celebrate!
City Auditor Alexander Marion: One Big Beautiful Bill Is One Big Ugly Disaster for Central New York

Harry Lewis was one of those genuine people who made our neighborhoods vital and great. He always offered a smile and kind word - or an idea for how to make our community better. Syracuse is stronger for having had him all these years. Thank you, Harry. syracuse.com/news/2025/07/t…
Happy Fiscal New Year! July 1 marks the start of Syracuse’s fiscal new year – so you can start paying your taxes and departments will begin using their new financial plans to deliver essential services. Maybe no fireworks, but an important date on the City’s calendar.

Aging in place is so important for the future of our community. We need tools and resources to make a dignified life possible for everyone. I’m very proud to join the team at Sai Sewa Adult Day Care for their ribbon cutting and celebrate this important new asset in Syracuse.

We celebrated 65 years of Congolese independence at City Hall! While there is much more progress to be made for Congo’s future, we are ever grateful for the Congolese people who call Syracuse home and their ongoing contributions to our City.

Congratulations to Frank Malfitano and his team on another incredible Syracuse International Jazz Fest. Great performers and an impressive turnout of our community. Here’s to many great years to come.

Amid a scary week, we found the helpers. Commissioner Byrd has been a picture of grace and compassion and the City is better for her work. She has the trust of her team and the faith of her community. Thank you, Syeisha. centralcurrent.org/sean-kirst-aft…
World Refugee Day showcases the best of Syracuse. Our community is made stronger by our immigrants and refugees - a truth for generations. Thanks to everyone who came out for one of the biggest celebrations we’ve had yet.

Do you know what it’s like being a code inspector? Had the opportunity to learn more about what it’s like finding code violations at the @Syracuse1848 safe and healthy housing tour in Eastwood! Thanks to Codes and @syracuseFD for an informative day

Public broadcasting is a treasure for our community. @WCNYPBS is a great asset, producing local tv & radio programming that everyone can enjoy. I’m a lifelong Classic FM listener & WCNY viewer, like so many in Syracuse. Let’s keep supporting this tremendous resource for our city

Happy #Pride, Syracuse! A beautiful day to be in the Pride Parade at the inner harbor. Proud to be wearing my Let Them Serve shirt honoring our transgender military members

This weekend is Syracuse’s Polish Festival! We kicked it off with a flag raising at City Hall. Next stop: pierogi and gołabki to support the Polish Scholarship Fund.
