I rode a school bus today into the most rural parts of Kanawha County — no cell service, unpaved roads. Kids ran to the bus to get food. The bus driver knew them by name. She said they otherwise wouldn’t have food. She said she’d be back tomorrow. Child hunger is our crisis.
