It didn't make the cut, but I spent much of the Usyk-Dubois fight marveling at Usyk's decision to go with bangs in the face of nearly universal (though unspoken) opposition. That's a man.
Bumping one more time, as this running diary features quite possibly the best line comparing my dog to John L. Sullivan that has ever been written.
I was a kid with opinions, but I kept my mouth shut while I was still smackable. This is good advice if anyone knows any children.
If you're looking for a novel that will stay in your brain long after you've finished it, allow me to recommend Junot Diaz's 2007 Pulitzer Prize-winning THE BRIEF WONDROUS LIFE OF OSCAR WAO. It is an astounding piece of work.
I'll summarize: Don't.
It’s the Summer of the Men’s Sandal. If you’re going to bare your toes, you need to read this first. esquire.com/style/mens-fas…
I just finished reading all of the JFK files. It turns out, sometimes heads just do that.
The last 30 seconds of RD7 sealed the deal for @SebastianFundo1 in his all-action rematch against Tim Tszyu. 😮💨 #FundoraTszyu2
BREAKING: Robert Roberson’s attorneys filed two motions this morning asking the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals to stay his Oct. 16 execution and to hear oral argument to review the mountain of new evidence in his case never reviewed by the court. bit.ly/3ID9Nv5
I'll never shutup about this fight as long as I live. Beautiful.
A sequence from Paret vs Thompson II, Round 10
Next on McGarnigal, McGarnigal is framed for a crime he didn't commit, and only one witness can clear his name, a little sissy boy who's too scared to come forward...
One can know a man from his laugh, and if you like a man's laugh before you know anything of him, you may confidently say that he is a good man.
Great fight, terrible stoppage. Muriqui hurt far worse than Ahmad was. The benefit of having Atlas in the corner, probably.
23 years ago, Elvir Muriqi defeated Sam Ahmad by TKO in round 3 of 10 to improve his record to 24-1 (14 KOs). Six knockdowns in nine minutes.

So, I posted this yesterday (as a joke) and now a bunch of delicate souls are crying their eyes out. Please click here for our apology...
In honour of Ozzy, here is Sabbath! Better than whatever the fuck kids listen to nowadays with their lacklustre mumble rap about taking percocet and what not. (Homer represents me unable to get tickets to his final gig...)
Fun stuff as always from @EricRaskin
A Saturday with boxing airing from 12:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and with @NigelBoxing, @WilliamDettloff & @DavidKushin_23 joining me and canine companion Otis Dumbledore at the palatial Raskin estate can only mean one thing: the return of the PPV running diary.
So that's it, after 20 years? So long, good luck?
Thanks so much, Keith. But I've heard it's the fourth read that really hits hardest for most people.
@EricRaskin Just finished “The Moneymaker Effect” for I think the 3rd time. It’s such a great read.
Three huge cards yesterday with big crowds at Wembley Arena, MGM Grand and the Ford Center with good fights and big names on every show. This is some dying sport.
