After near record heat the past few days, some relief is coming, in the form of tropical downpours. Rain chances increasing to 60-70% Tuesday through Thursday. A general 2-4 inches expected with pockets of heavier rain.

Yesterday I posted a near record heat dome, with a claim it was as a 3.5 sigma event (based on our recent statistical data) Here’s the graphic to support the sigma. Maxes out around 3.6 standard deviations from the mean.

This is BONKERS. The recent cooling was just a blip, global average temperatures are once again setting new records for today’s date and getting very close to the all time record set last year. This is without El Niño.
