#London on a Sunday 😝
The tranquil, heartbreakingly nostalgic sight of a peaceful #London on a Sunday during the 1950s This reality is the polar opposite to what we see and experience today. 🎥 1957
This is the most British thing I have ever seen. news.sky.com/story/this-is-…
Quite common for governments that extend the franchise to lose the subsequent election. Same in 1867 and 1928. 1948 and 1884 both saw marginal results that quickly turned in to loses. New voters tend to want change and don't give much credit to those that gave them the vote.
In 1969, Labour hoped lowering the voting age from 21 to 18 would deliver a lot more Labour votes. In the seven general elections between then and 1992, Labour won only one of them on the popular vote - October 1974 - and lost six.
Corbyn will never be prime minister. And thank God for that too.
Didn't have it, but played it. Little ball bearing ball used to get shot out all over the place!
It’s not a video game, but did anyone have “Test Match” from the 1980s? I used to see it in various catalogues back in the day but I’ve never seen it irl. What say you? Would it hold up in 2025?
Tim - I agree that this would be an agenda that would make Labour a sensible, mainstream, party. Not one that either of us would probably vote for, but a worthy and realistic agenda. You have drawn similar parallels with thinkers and parties in the centre right and I would…
If Labour had Glasman's agenda there'd finally be a mainstream party that was wrestling with the seismic socioeconomic and techcultural forces that - unchecked - will inevitably install populist and radical parties in power
🤪
Looks like this is the Your Party version of the chicken run.
Official UK government position is now that 16-year-olds are old enough to vote but are too young to watch videos of people having sex. Clown country
Horrific food story from the US
This man ordered a steak at a steakhouse and knew something was not right He raises and processes over 100 cattle per year so he immediately knew this meat cut was fake He pulls apart the steak to show layer by layer it’s been glued together “I ate a little bit of it and I…
James Wade with arguably the most relatable interview I have ever heard in my life 😂 Give the bloke a knighthood, superb

Peaceful protest, legitimate arguments fine. Assaulting an 18 year old volunteer because you disagree with my policies, definitely not ok. Kai is a brilliant, dedicated volunteer who works hard for his community and our Party. Proud of how he’s handled this.
Had a good time at the Banchory show manning the Conservative stall today but I was unfortunately physically assaulted by a very angry and intoxicated pro-Gaza activist. I absolutely love politics and love what I do in politics but it really is disappointing and very disgusting…
My condolences, Robert. Best wishes to you.
My dear mother, Barbara, slipped away from this life in the early hours of yesterday morning after a short illness. I was fortunate to have been able to be with her right up until the end. A joyful and active life of nearly 85 years. Rest in peace, mum and rise in glory.
That's because, in classic Leftist fashion, it more or less spilt before it launched.
The Corbyn-Sultana thing is surely the only political party in British history to unsuccessfully try and launch itself twice.

What kind of world are we living in where this can happen? The venue should be ashamed of itself.
My friend Rachel Creeger has had her comedy gig at the Edinburgh Fringe cancelled because she Jewish. This is happening in Britain in 2025. Full story below: 👇🏼
Government plans to reintroduce extradition cooperation with Hong Kong are highly concerning. Why does the Government deem this reasonable when freedom of expression, political freedom and the rule of law in Hong Kong have been crushed by The National Security Law and the…
