Brewdog closing 10 pubs with loss of 100 or so jobs. Why? “rising costs [Jobs Tax] , increased regulation [Red Tape from Trade Union Bill] , and economic pressures [Rachel Reeves]”. It’s not complicated: keep taxes fair and low + cut red tape = more businesses & jobs.

Labour's Jobs Tax is destroying our great British pubs. 69,000 jobs have already been lost - and today, Brewdog announced the closure of 10 of their bars. Pubs are the heart of our communities - we need to back them, along with the workers who keep them going. 🍻
Thrilled to be back at CCHQ as Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party. Excited to work with MPs, MSPs. MSs, councillors, activists, and members - alongside @kevinhollinrake - to get Conservative victories and fight this terrible Labour Government. Time to get to work! 💪🇬🇧
First thoughts on becoming @Conservatives Party Chairman 👇
Labour have just admitted their “Islamophobia” working group may consult… … the MCB - supposedly banned from government engagement… … MEND - attacked by the Met Commissioner… … and affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood. Whose side are they on? questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-questi…
I am honoured to have been appointed Chairman of the Conservative Party. I want to pay tribute to my predecessors, Nigel Huddleston and Lord (Dominic) Johnson, whose dedication and hard work have laid the foundations for the future. Their efforts in navigating challenging times…
This would be the final nail in the coffin for many pubs, bars and restaurants. The Prime Minister and Chancellor need to stop pretending that business confidence is high and explain to the rest of the cabinet the consequences of their Jobs Tax and the job-killing red tape…

Parish councils are taking on more power and more of your money💷 With precepts up 43% in real terms since 2015, it's time for caps and proper oversight 👏 @ElliotKeck and @kevinhollinrake explain our latest paper - parish council tax 👇
Beggars belief. Keir Starmer says “there’s lots of housing.” Angela Rayner insists “there is plenty of housing.” Maybe someone should brief them: For millions, it’s just not the kind you can afford, find, or live in.
How to lose an argument in court⬇️ Counsel: there are lots of examples of [insert issue] Judge: can you give me one example? Counsel: [bluster, blah, I’ll send a note next week]
Keir Starmer and Sadiq Khan were the people Christopher Hitchins tried to warn us about.. R.I.P Christopher your insightfulness is surly missed right now! 🥹
Starmer says at the Liaison Committee that the best thing about his first year in government was "walking into Downing Street," which says something about what happened afterwards.
“Lots of housing” - I don’t want to be disrespectful of the PM but this is nonsense. He is overseeing a housing crisis; he is folding on his planning reforms and his deputy PM @AngelaRayner has no chance of hitting 1.5 mn new homes and wants his job before she’s found out 👇
There are 1.3 million people on social housing waiting lists in England alone. But Keir Starmer believes there’s ‘lots of housing’ spare we should be giving to illegal migrants That’s madness. What is he going on about?
More proof the Government are not serious about delivering on their 1.5 million homes target. The councils building the most homes are being hit with the biggest funding cuts in the so called 'Fair' Funding Review. districtcouncils.info/punishing-grow…
Back in the real world….. 🤦♂️
Keir Starmer tells MPs that many councils have 'lots of housing' that could be used to accommodate asylum seekers. Asked if he can provide any examples, he replies: 'No'
Labour MPs: this chart should worry you. Backing an Islamophobia definition could cost Labour 1 million votes — a 3-point drop in support. Reform and Conservatives gain. If you care about winning, urge Starmer & Rayner to reconsider. Fast. #Labour #UKPolitics

Fixing our ageing sewage system isn’t about who pays - both private firms and government borrow. The real question is: who delivers better results? Talking on @bbclaurak today ⬇️
Private Sector or Nationalised Water Suppliers - who would invest more in our Victorian sewage system? Private sector; invests their own cash, which they will understandably want a return on or they borrow cash to invest, which the lenders will want a return on (interest).…
