Civilians in #Ukraine continue to bear the heaviest burden as the war brings destruction. Today, strikes injured civilians and damaged homes in the cities of #Dnipro, #Kharkiv and across the regions. Aid workers, together with local responders, are assisting those affected.

🤝 This week, IOM and @EUDelegationUA officially signed an agreement for a new project to modernize the water supply system in Kryvyi Rih. The project aims to ensure reliable access to water for over 700,000 residents, including thousands of displaced people.

Odesa, Cherkasy & 🇺🇦other cities were once again under Russia's night attacks, damaging civilian infrastructure. UNHCR & partners are on the ground supporting affected families with psychological 1st aid, emergency repair materials & essential items like blankets.

Today, I met with @matzschmale @UN_Ukraine to discuss Ukraine’s evolving needs, IOM’s recovery priorities within UN frameworks, and the importance of the UN in enabling durable solutions in Ukraine’s long-term recovery.
Aid workers are already on the ground in #Odesa after today's attacks, providing: 🩺 medical & psychosocial support 🍲 meals & drinks 🏠 shelter & other non-food supplies 👨👩👧👦 services for families with children, monitoring the needs and coordinating the response.
July 24 was a sleepless night for the residents of #Cherkasy in Ukraine's centre and #Odesa in the south. Strikes reportedly injured civilians, including a child. Homes, schools, health facilities and markets were hit. Civilians and civilian infrastructure are protected by IHL.
