After yesterday’s devastating Russian attack on frontline Dobropillia🇺🇦, 13 apartment buildings were severely damaged. UNHCR’s partners @charity_aos & @MissionProliska are on the ground — delivering emergency repair materials, helping people cover their damaged windows & doors.
70k internally displaced people reside in collective sites across 🇺🇦. UNHCR & partners support incl w/ repairs to improve conditions + regular visits to meet residents, hear their concerns & inform on further support. Here, recent visit w NEEKA to sites in Zakarpattia region.
🏡 Olha and Serhii, retirees from Kramatorsk, fled the war and settled in a village in Chernihiv region. Given a home with a garden, they now grow foods, keep chickens, and cherish time with their 3 grandkids. 💚 A story of hope and support from @ROKADA_CF 🌐 @UNHCRUkraine
UNHCR provided solar panels to help equip the “NOVO” Sustainable Business Hub in Novovolynsk, Volyn region 🇺🇦. The Hub will empower local & relocated businesses with grants, trainings & opportunities — fostering livelihoods & integration for displaced communities.
Kramatorsk & Sloviansk in #Donetsk region were once again under attack. Civilians & their homes were affected. Our Fund’s ambulance, engaged in evacuating people, was also damaged. We reiterate: civilians, humanitarians, & civilian infrastructure must never be targets #NoNaTarget
Three families from Donetsk found safety in Lviv region 🏠 @ROKADA_CF welcomed and accompanied them to a newly prepared shelter in Drohobych for IDPs. These families are among the first to move in. 🌐@UNHCRUkraine
#Pavlohrad City in the Dnipro Region was hit overnight in its most intense attack since 2022, causing civilian casualties. A factory, fire station, and homes were damaged. Aid workers provided legal aid, psychosocial support, and construction materials.

Civilians in #Ukraine continue to bear the brunt of relentless attacks, with lives lost and homes destroyed. Yesterday’s strike on Dobropillia, #Donetsk Region, is yet another tragic example of the daily suffering. This must stop. Civilians are #NotATarget.
Last week in Odesa 🇺🇦, UNHCR held a seminar to strengthen social workers’ skills in supporting war-affected people. With high caseloads & limited resources, they are vital in assisting vulnerable groups. Training covered case management, ethics & inclusion.
Last night, Russia struck multiple regions of 🇺🇦— Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia & Kryvyi Rih. UNHCR partners have been working all day to support those affected by the attacks, providing crisis counselling, social support & emergency repair materials.
Funding from donors like @Ulkoministerio 🇫🇮, allows UNHCR to support displaced people with disabilities across🇺🇦 In a school for children w/visual impairments, UNHCR opened a sensory classroom that helps build confidence & inclusion for children. More: t.ly/wPS4u

Yesterday, an attack on Sloviansk, #Donetsk Region, damaged dozens of homes, health and education facilities, further disrupting civilian lives. Humanitarians provided construction materials to affected families and offered psychological and legal support.
A new Child Rights Protection Centre opened in Volyn — the 3rd in Ukraine🇺🇦 With support from the Ombudsman's office, @UNICEF_UA, the Government of 🇳🇴, & modern equipment from UNHCR, this centre will provide protection services to children affected by war & traumatised by loss.
With contributions from France 🇫🇷 @francediplo, UNHCR is able to help families in 🇺🇦 prepare for winter: repairing homes, distributing heaters & ensuring energy solutions so people affected by the war can stay warm. Happy Bastille Day &🙏for steadfast support to Ukraine. Merci!
