Moved by the determination of communities in Ukraine to rebuild their lives. From small businesses reopening to partnerships driving long-term recovery, their resolve to restore livelihoods and dignity is inspiring. IOM stands firmly alongside Ukraine on this journey.
Happy to reaffirm IOM’s commitment to humanitarian response and recovery efforts in Ukraine and abroad, at the meeting with Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine @APUkraine.
Today, I met with @matzschmale @UN_Ukraine to discuss Ukraine’s evolving needs, IOM’s recovery priorities within UN frameworks, and the importance of the UN in enabling durable solutions in Ukraine’s long-term recovery.
Funded by @EUDelegationUA, IOM held a training in Vinnytsia to help facilitators integrate mental health support with livelihood recovery. Participants worked with practical tools to better assist veterans across Ukraine.



IOM stands ready to support Ukraine in safeguarding the rights of war-affected people and fostering a survivor-centred approach to transitional justice and reparations. Had a productive meeting with Ukraine’s Ombudsman @lubinetzs in Kyiv today.
In Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region, IOM held an employment seminar for IDPs. “A new place often means a new profession — the war forces everyone to adapt,” says coach Anna Tambovska. 500 participants will attend retraining courses to find new opportunities & support their families.

In Rome for #URC2025 to join governments, businesses and communities working together to support Ukraine’s recovery. We are here to help rebuild lives, restore services, and stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
Over 7,000 demobilized veterans live in Zaporizhzhia region. With support from the European Union @EUDelegationUA, IOM organized a job fair in Zaporizhzhia to support veterans and their families access new career opportunities and reintegrate into civilian life.




With support from @JPEmbUA, IOM is strengthening partners’ capacity by training 100+ NGO members across Ukraine on preventing sexual exploitation, abuse & harassment. The topic will be integrated into all their activities to raise public awareness. Learn more: @IOMJapan
“Having enough laptops is critical—we manage data and support vulnerable people faster now,” says Inna, from the Resilience Centre in Rivne, western 🇺🇦. With funding from @SwissUA @UNAction, IOM also delivered laptops & flashlights to Centres in Zaporizhzhia and Poltava region.
