Good job @MARTAtransit! I've never seen this before. A MARTA employee is going to from car from car to car sweeping up trash on the floor while the train is in motion. I hope you all make this a regular job position! And please give them something to clean up liquids and urine!

With a mechanical issue effecting people trying to get to the start line at the Peachtree Road Race today these new trains couldn't come sooner enough!

Waiting for the bus feels much safer and cleaner at Five Points since the bus stops were combined and moved from Alabama St to Forsyth St. This is a win for all the commuters who come through Downtown.

Can we assign a team of Jehovah's Witnesses to staff each MARTA Station. I'm realising they're more present than MARTA staff and security.
In a now deleted post Atlanta Public Schools tells parents in a major U.S. city to never let kids walk unaccompanied. What has the world come to where kids can't go outside without an adult (and I don't mean super young elementary kids). Kids walk to school alone everyday here.
This is a political stunt that could’ve went to pay teachers a bonus, went to MARTA, the Beltline, or fix potholes

Sometimes I think we would be better off if MARTA's Board was elected. There is NO one I mean NO one to hold them accountable for their service quality issues. I'm sure they hate going to those quarterly city council meeting because this is only time they are publicly scrutinized
Collie Greenwood isn’t interested in transparency nor accountability. We had a whole public shaming last year abt this exact issue. MARTA promised better. They did it 2x and now we’re back where we were. This is how Marta works now. It is a *reactive* agency. No prep.

Unfortunately I'm seeing multiple reports of "crush load" trains on MARTA tonight after the Shakira concert at State Farm Arena, apparently due in part to single tracking (which reduces service). Why can't MARTA coordinate with concerts?
I caught a @MARTAtransit Red Line train last night 11:30pm from North Ave. First time in years I've been able to take a Red Line that late, and I hope MARTA continues to keep it in full service every day. Same for the Green Line! Full extent service every day at all hours.

Garnett is the only MARTA station I actively tell people to avoid. This block has had countless incidents of violent crime.

Campaigning on free Marta, without naming any funding sources is an empty promise waiting to happen. Can he unpack the logistics of this being implemented. Will fare gates be eliminated or will everyone get a city issued breeze card?
At a time when MARTA ridership is the lowest it's been in decades -- threatening the system's survival -- and the Trump administration is gutting federal transit funding, Atlanta's mayor is campaigning on free public transit by 2030. An unserious proposal. h/t @HowEPhil
If you avoid MARTA rail on the weekends because of long waits for trains, today would be a good day to actually ride the rails. Miraculously, there is no track maintenance happening. The wait for a train is as short as it gets for MARTA these days.
