I spit on nihilists. If I'm the last communist alone in this guilty land, I will walk into a boiling ocean before conceding to these mutants, and I know hundreds of organizers around the country who feel exactly the same way. I will fight for someone I do not know.
Chicago, Evanston, Skokie, and Oak Park
okay what is, in your opinion, the 4 major american cities
The crude denialism Weiss was publishing just a few months ago now risks reputational damage. That she's scrambling to cover for this is a sign of how even elite opinion now can't ignore the monstrous reality of what Israel is doing.

‘Capitalism is just the default mode of economics’ is some powerful ideology.
Calling capitalism an “ideology” is kind of ridiculous. “Millions were killed by capitalism” is a ridiculous thing to say. Capitalism is just the default mode of economics. “I made this item and I will sell it for something else” has been going on since ancient times.
This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen in my life. Genuinely emotional
🇨🇳 🇬🇪 A Chinese man walking from China to Italy found a team of Chinese construction workers working on a project in Georgia. They welcomed him and fed him some fried rice.
i love being a writer in the time where the entire ruling class and a bunch of troglodyte utilitarians are trying to wipe not only your humble way of life but also the concept of reading and writing writ large from the face of the earth
Zohran Mamdani is everything Pete wishes he could be: principled, popular, and actually capable of inspiring people. It is absolutely about ideology. Zohran stands for something. Pete stands for Pete.
If Dems want lessons from Mamdani applicable across the country “it’s less about the ideology, and more about the message discipline of focusing on what people care about and the tactical wisdom of getting out there and talking to everybody,” Pete Buttigieg says on NPR.
If @BernieSanders started a new party tomorrow he'd get the support of at least 1/3 of the country overnight
Approval of congressional Democrats is down to a historic low of just 19 percent More: rollingstone.com/politics/polit…

it has limitations but DSA’s de facto “do the work or you cannot be taken seriously” requirement is a massive asset and the new UK party should learn from it
of course Pete Buttigieg thinks it's "less about the ideology," since he doesn't believe in anything

There are about 30 other U.S. cities that need to do what Seattle did.
trust him! this guy knows a thing or two about alienating a huge audience.

Organizing a children's table at our branch meetings for comrades with young kids. Looking for fun graphics we could use to make coloring book pages, or similar materials. If any DSA artists on here have black and white versions of their digital art, that'd be great. Thanks!
“This guy is Somali so he must be stupid” is, like, textbook racism. Like KKK in the 1800s level racism
DID YOU KNOW: The average IQ in Somalia is 68
July 26 is my birthday. I share it with the Cuban revolution, so I’m collecting material aid for the people today. Hasta la victoria siempre!
So much respect for Denise #FromTheRiverToTheSea 🫶🇵🇸
screaming, crying, throwing up
In 2000 Amtrak proposed a bunch of new expansions, although they didn't pan out. These ones in the Midwest are VERY interesting, and we should manifest them into reality 🔥🔥 (Except that Des Moines one, it needs to be routed via Mendota)
Part of what makes this current moment so psychosis-inducing is the mystification. A mysterious unknown entity is starving 2 million people. We can’t say their name but have to still make gestures towards liberal humanitarianism. It’s all phantoms, ghosts, specters
The suffering and starvation unfolding in Gaza is unspeakable and indefensible.
Worst crime in America is being right too early
