In 2024, $118 million of Kentucky's SNAP payments were innacurate. The One Big Beautiful Bill finally holds states accountable to properly administer the food stamp program, reduce waste, fraud, and abuse, and get able-bodied adults without dependents back in the workforce.
States can't make up trillions of dollars in cuts from the "big, ugly bill," but I'm going to try to do everything I can to help the people I serve.

You’re free to buy all the cupcakes and candy you want. But taxpayer-funded programs like SNAP should be used to purchase healthy food – not junk food and sugary drinks. It’s great to see @USDA working with states to make these common-sense changes.
In 2024, there were fewer than 2 workers to support every Medicaid recipient.
Work requirements have 80% support in Wisconsin. Why? Because we know a job is the best path out of poverty.
