🚨 Big praise from the Minister for Housing and Planning. Greenwich is delivering the most affordable homes. There is still a long way to go to solve the housing crisis, we’ll keep working towards this ambition.
Credit to @Royal_Greenwich who had the highest number of new affordable homes started of any London borough last year. Huge progress being made by @MrOkereke and his administration in delivering the 1,750 home Greenwich Builds programme.
Even when councillors are satisfied with a proposed development having assessed safety, affordability, the environment, regeneration and community benefits, NIMBYs in the Conservative Party still stand with the blockers to try to wreck it. The Tories haven't learned a thing.

I’m delighted that @BarnetCouncil have tonight approved nearly 3,400 homes for Edgware Town Centre, of which 35% will be genuinely affordable. This partnership between @placesforlondon @ballymore will also deliver new green and open space, transport upgrades, and employment.
