I doubt that a digital vibecheck is what Prof Leng had in mind when she wrote the recommendation. This is the problem. If the recommendation wouldn't have protected Emily Chesterton, then it's insufficient.

I’m so sorry but it irks me to hear £37k is a good starting salary as a doctor because there’s potential to increase in 5-10 years. Apart from the obvious fact that pay shouldn’t be based on potential, our career pathway is no longer linear because of a lack of training posts.

1. Shaming doctors for doing literally anything nice for themselves that costs money (Going to a restaurant etc) 2. Paying doctors £17/hour

Doctors currently earn £18.62 an hour, they are asking for £22.67 an hour. Their assistants get paid £24.45 an hour. How can @wesstreeting defend paying doctors less than their assistants?

How disappointingly predictable.

If doctors pay had kept up with inflation since 2008, would you be advocating for doctors pay to be cut by 21%? This wouldn’t even be a consideration @wesstreeting Doctors being paid £22.67/hr is not an unreasonable ask. This is still less than our assistants pay.

I'm not a Resident Doctor. I am privileged enough to pay for a cleaner. I pay my cleaner £25 per hour. Resident Doctors are asking for less than that. My cleaner makes my house smell nice. A Resident Doctor will save your life. #Strikehard

This is outrageous @parthaskar has done a tremendous job standing up against many who have attempted to sell out UK healthcare for their own benefit. @RCPhysicians will need to have extremely strong justification for this move.
