The horror in Gaza must end. We're stepping up our humanitarian efforts with new healthcare, food and water for Gazans. We need an immediate ceasefire now, the release of all hostages and a surge in aid.
Israel must allow aid in over land to end the starvation unfolding in Gaza. The situation is desperate. We are working with Jordan to get aid into Gaza. We are urgently accelerating efforts to evacuate children who need critical medical assistance to the UK for treatment.…
The appalling scenes in Gaza are unrelenting. The UK will pull every lever we have to get food and lifesaving support to Palestinians, and we will evacuate children who need urgent medical assistance. This humanitarian catastrophe must end.
The words and actions of the Israeli government have made their intentions clear. This war must end. Staying silent in the face of the human suffering in Gaza is an affront to our Jewish values. We demand action is taken to stop this immediately.
The suffering and starvation unfolding in Gaza is unspeakable and indefensible.
"We did not need to be in this position. These strikes were unnecessary." @WesStreeting explains why 👇 Watch his message to NHS staff continuing to work during strikes.
The IDF has killed starving Palestinian civilians trying to get aid. Settler terrorism and talk of imposing the illegal E1 settlement plan are flagrant attempts to prevent a Palestinian state. There is no justification for this. A two-state solution is the only path to peace.
For those tuning into Welsh politics today, meet Reform UK’s newest MS, Laura Anne Jones. Her greatest hits: ✅ 2002 – Drink-driving conviction ✅ 2024 – Sacked from Shadow Cabinet over inflated expenses, police investigation followed ✅ 2024 – Apologised for racist WhatsApp…
Powerful stuff from the @LabourGrowth Group and a clarion call to action. “A country divided against itself is one that will fracture. The people have been patient, but their latitude has been tested to the limit and will not hold much longer”
"Decline is neither inevitable nor acceptable; Britain’s best days are ahead, but only if we choose purpose over complacency and disruption over caution." By @MarkMcvitie, @Lola__McEvoy and @chriscurtis94 newstatesman.com/politics/uk-po…
Reform have no idea. Labour will reform the water sector to halve the levels of pollution in our waterways by 2030.
Labour's first King's Speech was a year ago today. From bringing rail services into public ownership, to strengthening water regulations and reforming workers' rights, we are standing up for the public.
Glad Ministers are confirming plans for votes at 16. If you’re old enough to pay tax & serve your country, you should have a say in who runs it. Over the past few years we’ve made huge decisions from Brexit to net zero which impact on young people. Let’s have their voice heard.
Do they disapprove of: - £100bn on infrastructure - GB Energy - Rail nationalisation - £40bn more on public services - trade deals with EU, India, US - Living Wage 2/3rds average earnings - Falling waiting lists - Triple lock - Renters rights - Workers rights - Free school meals
Just 12% of Britons approve of the government's record to date, the lowest level recorded by YouGov since Labour took office Approve: 12% (-1 from 5-7 July) Disapprove: 66% (-1) Net: -54 (=)
We’re saddened to share that Donald Rose, the UK’s oldest WWII veteran, has passed away at 110. A sniper with the Queen’s Royal Regiment, he served in North Africa, survived D-Day, and helped liberate Bergen-Belsen. His legacy and sacrifice will not be forgotten ❤️
I got into politics to help children facing the toughest challenges. Today’s Better Futures Fund will give hundreds of thousands of children, young people and their families a better chance in life. theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
This is encouraging and while we have a lot to do, having access to a Labour govt and ministers who are willing to listen is such a novelty. We waited 14 years and it demonstrates why it was so important that we have local @UKLabour MP’s who work with us and fight for Redbridge.
Broadmead Bridge has been shut to vehicular traffic since 2023, causing massive disruption to residents and emergency services - which are now having to take long detours. If it is not rebuilt and reopened, it will continue being a pain to residents and damage the Central Line…
Unashamed fanboy moment today meeting @dcsandbrook and having a long chat about Labour Governments past and present! 🤩
